Tim always get harvey 😂😂
Tim Conway makes it all so funny. He was great.
LOVED the operetta! I loved hearing all the soprano singing from Carol, Vicki and Eydie! Eydie has a lovely upper register!

They are not true Sopranos, but it is nice to hear Eydie Gormet sing in her higher register! Somebody in the chorus does sing a high C at the end...so she was a soprano...

@@randysills4418 Eydie is a true soprano. In fact early in her life she had a training as a COLORATURA soprano. And one does not need to be singing high Cs to be a soprano. Voice types have far more to do with timbre and tessitura than range. Caterina Valente is and was a high lyric soprano and she sang pretty comfortably on a low C3… and on a coloratura high F. Carol herself (listed as a dramatic soprano in plenty of the old Broadway programmes from the 1960s; many consider her a mezzo-soprano though) had a high F as well. And a sustained one… in her 60s. But it does not make her voice higher or lower. It’s just range. Ebe Stegnani, a classical lyric mezzo-soprano had a solid high D.

The costumes!
It must of been hilarious to work on that show, Tim and Harvey, were great 😃!!!!!
A favorite part of mine was when they would crack each other up and try so hard to continue with the skit; shoulders shaking, head turned.

That giggle of Harvey too 😂
Eddie Gorme was a terrific singer ♥️❗
the last corner little operetta is so beautiful music ~! eydie great singer.
Love the skits and love to hear Eydie sing. Saw Eydie and her husband Steve Lawrence in concert a bunch of years ago.
I always loved and looked forward to Q&A! "Silent film actress.." 😂
I enjoyed the operetta a lot! I really like Eydie Gorme on KZread. She was on What's My Line several times and various talk shows and certainly seemed very nice! She was also on the game show Password...

I had no idea she could sing those G's and A's....
Steve and Eydie usually appeared separately on this show - never usually together. He was actually a very good actor in addition to being one of the greatest singers in the world at one time.
Poor Harvey, he’s trying so hard to keep in character while Tim Conway is playing the flirty girl…tossing his hair about…and then the annoyed girlfriend……OMGODS! This pure genius….it’s brilliant!

They jst make the cutest couple having an affair ever ❤
I come to this show when I have a rough day expecting some silly cheesy (sometimes outdated) comedy and fun old songs. But then they hit me with Eydie Gorme singing A House Is Not a Home and now I'm SOBBING...

Wow. I agree she's one of the best singers ever, but her voice was waaaaay too screechy for that song, imo.
Well now we know where they got the inspiration for Austin Powers! 😂
This was 1 of my favorites,..Soo very special and funny! ❤ all the shows. 🤣, 🤗, GBU.,SM.,NZ.
50:05 " And let's all fight pollution as though our lives depended on it" and 50 years later, we know it does. It's such a good thing humanity banded together and prioritised *existence* over multinational profits and corporate monopolies!

Air quality is very much improved compared to 50 years ago. A ship doesn't turn on a dime it takes time.
I wonder if Ms. Gourmet's entrance with Carol Burnett saying...It's Auntie Bubbles is a sly reference to Beverly "Bubbles" Sills, the coloratura soprano who was so popular then...
I love Carol Burnett! ❤ I wish she could live forever...
Happy, fun show!
Tim always makes him laugh...❤
Did we really breathe on everyone when we had colds back then? At least later in the skit they acknowledged that

WOW 😳... hello 👋 how are you doing?
Amazing people wish they were still a show like this now on TV.
I was today years old when I learned that Luther Vandross covered this song.
Mabel Normand died 1930 of tuberculosis. She filmed with Chaplin and Arbuckle, wrote and directed herself too. She had her own movie company.
So happy I found this channel
is it just me or does Tim Conway have great legs? 🤔

Hmmm.. hello 👋 how are you doing?
oooouf that first sketch (carol and roger)... ... ...i'll just say, i might be happy carol did this - this might've precipitated the beginning of the movement of making it less acceptable for men to treat women like garbage (unfortunately, i can't say "unacceptable" - we still seem quite a long-ways away from _that_ level of Humane Advancement, i fear)

She's being ridiculous in this whole sketch.
Fantastic operetta singing; never suspected such ability out of our usual cast. Awesome!
Bouth of them are so wonderful and very funny Loved the show and all the cast .
Hello Carol I love you 😘 K bye ✌️
That James blonde skit was actually a predction of the future unintentionally of who would be the James bond in the future.Daniel Craig.
I thought that was an original Luther Vandross song .... 🫢
Luckily, the MeTV-shown syndicated, truncated half-hour version of this episode included this awesome operetta closing musical number; but too many of the “lost,” older repackaged half-hours clog half the episodes with the more boring Carol, Roger & Little Sis recurring sketches, leaving out comic gems like the James Blond skit or Edie solo singing number instead. 🥰
also; i rarely barely use the L word, but, when i do, it's because of Carol.. *L word responsibly 💙💙💙
😆😆🤣👍🤟

I never liked Roger, but I totally hate him now. Zero consideration for his wife, and doesn't give a damn about her feelings. I hope Carol made them all clean up the place once she regained consciousness.
I think Eydie was lip syncing.
I kinda hate that first sketch

It was 1972 and comedy with the sexist husband and the harried housewife was still common. This one of the the Carol and Sis skits and Harvey was great at playing the inconsiderate husband and Carol was even better at playing the poor housewife.

Comedy 🎭 today is nothing like this , seriously clean and funny ,
Interesting: "Who was Charlie Chaplin mentor? Mabel Normand" ''Widely considered to be the first major comedienne, and perhaps cinema's first comic star, actress Mabel Normand was rambunctious and non-conformist'
