Just found this old UK show. I've never heard of it before. I have seen the others, One foot in the grave, Are you being served, Mulberry, ect. This one fell under my radar. A true gem of a show!

This is a spin-off show. Look up the original. It was better. It's called Man About The House.
Tight quick dialogue really good writing Comic timing on the nail. Brilliant characterisation

@@bobrew461 Yes, and there were plenty of social problems back then also, always makes me laugh when others think it was so much better 'back in the day'. But there was an innocence about most British sitcoms back then, the completely unrealistic innocence on display, that's what was funny about them, however the likes of Ben Elton was just around the corner, to drag us into the comedy of the 20th century 😂👍

They were characters in "Man About the House" (George was the landlord). They were then given their own series "George & Mildred". Later there was a crappy American spin-off called "The Ropers" with an all different cast.

I remember some of these episodes as a kid but have never seen all of the series 1 to 5 in their entirety. Thanks . They actually make me laugh Really enjoying these.

Love the series. Used to watch it when I was much younger, still enjoy watching every episode. Can't understand why Ethel who has everything money can buy, can't see her own sister who doesn't have much in life to end up with a few quid. That is just nasty and mean.

Although George is somewhat hapless, all the problems in this relationship stem from Mildred not being anywhere near as clever she thinks he is, and always thinking the highest of herself and the worst of George. George would be happier alone.

Agree. If Series 5 was planned as the end, I think they would have finished it better. Judging from the final episode of Series 5 the ending was unplanned.

Sad to say I looked exactly like the little kid in this, we are about the same age. 40 or so years later I look in worse condition than George. How did people afford such great houses with only the man working, and not even that in George’s case?

Obviously you don't have to. But please understand that it takes many hours of commitment to put all these episodes together and compile them into one video, then generate that video and upload it to KZread. I don't have to share these videos. I have them in my extensive collection and I could just watch them anytime I want to without having to share them with anyone. I hope this makes sense?

It was the 1970's. Every episode of the series rated in the Top 3 and every episode of Seadon 1 rated at #1 with around 20 million viewers.

1- Back in those day, this was a fantastic comedy with the sense of humour of that era. To me, it still is a great comedy. 2- The working class always gave as good as it received. That was the very essence of having different classes in the same show.
