Boots is fair to say despite inexperience cuz who else is there beside thurman who really just wants a check? 😂 154 is a great move full of undefeated killers but casuals can’t stand watching fighters they don’t know lmao despite their ranking. I could listen to Tim's excellent analysis all day long. I agree 100% with his assessment of Boots. As Bud turns 36, his last few fights have to focus on dollars and cents. Boots does not have the following to generate large PPV numbers. Bud needs to get the biggest fights, and make as much money as possible, so he have as much financially security for him and his family.

Bradley is saying exactly what I’ve been thinking about this matchup. They love saying Bud hasn’t fought anybody but Boots whole resume is full of guys without Wikipedia pages. There is a huge skill gap, Ennis has trouble cutting off the ring against fighters with footwork & Bud can capitalize on that. The 31-0 looks like it holds its own against Bud’s 40-0 until you actually watch the performances. If this fight happens mark my comment, Bud will school Boots the entire fight with maybe two or three “big” Boots moments.

Buster Douglas wasn’t supposed to be on Mike Tyson’s level and we know how that ended. There is no reason whatsoever for this not to happen before Crawford retires. Worst case scenario is Boots can learn from the Crawford fight and get better.

Boots still too young. I remember a young fernando vargas when he was coming up 20-0, he was hungry, young and wanted the big fish and got what he wanted, his first loss against a veteran-primed Tito Trinidad. Everyone thought he was going to beat tito silly, because of the tenacity he was showing coming up as an undefeated boxer. But that all ended when he faced the legendary tito who was polished. Fernando quickly found out the hard way that those dudes he was fighting earlier in his undefeated career wasn't tito. Fernando was never the same after that fight, so let's slow down with the whole Boots thing. And please ... I'm not comparing one boxer to another, just giving you a scenario of what can happen if you rush Boots into the lion's den.

There may be some semblance of truth regarding Bradley's comments, but he has a history of backtracking. As far as Bradley's being a Boxing Hall of Famer (BHOF), that distinction is based on his fights with Pacquiao (he actually lost all three but was gifted a win in the first) and Russian bruiser Ruslan Provodnikov. First, Bradley fought during a time when the junior welterweight division was weak, and he knows it. After the first Pacquiao fight (questionable win), he went into a deep depression because many people felt he did not deserve the decision and incessantly ridiculed him. Second, after the Provodnikov fight, he was seriously contemplating retirement due to the physical damage he sustained (slurred speech, urinary bleeding, cognitive decline, etc.). Bradley, quite frankly, is lucky to be in the BHOF.

Great idea if you're getting better with each fight. Stupid strategy if you're living the life, getting high and crashing sports cars. It doesn't matter who a fighter has fought; once they fight their way into the mandatory position, it's either step up or go home. In this case, Crawford has to fulfill his rematch with Spence or chase undisputed at 154. So, Ennis might get a shot at Spence or Crawford at 154 instead of 147.

But it's easy to see Boots working to undisputed at welter with those two out of the mix, setting up a 154 torch pass with Ennis having a much better shot with a declining Bud in 2-3 years.

I like Boots but he ain't beating Crawford or even Spence. If he really about that life he should move up to 154. 147 is cleared out right now. Go fight those hitters at 154 like Garcia, Ortiz Jr, Spence, Thurman, Etc. Put those names on your resume than you can get a big fight with Crawford since he at 154 too. Remember, Charlo is fighting Canelo. If he gets past him and moves back down, he will be fighting Crawford. For the time being, Boots should fight the other guys

YorDennis Ugas 's SLOW FOOTWORK and his (69 in reach Shorter arms at 5'9 height ) will allow 5'10 Height 74 'Reach & Boots Ennis's foot work to make a fool out of Yordenis Ugas Boots will deploy his Jab early and often same like Spence did vs Ugas Then Turn Ugas into a Shot he won't see coming and Ko him (AGAIN ) 🥊 Spence was a bigger welter than Ugas But having the 72 Reach even though Spence had Same foot speed as Ugas But Spences Jab and cummalitve punching power was too much ( For the shorter in reach Ugas )to overcome🥊 it will be the Same type of KO of Ugas By Jaron Ennis. Starting the fight by deploying the Jab and exploiting his reach advantage on top of the foot speed advatage 🥊 To beat fighter s Like Spence , Crawford , Ennis If Youre a fighter with Shorter Arms reach You must have Shawn Porters foot Speed with Keth Thurman's Power and chin foot speed head movenment or Pacquiao's PoweR and FOOT SPEED to Negate The Jab's Affects If your'e a fighter with shorter reach 🥊 As you saw Spence struggle with fighting Porter for 11 1/2 rounds but for the knock down to win the very close split decision 🥊 But Porter was Never was known for His Punching Power 🥊Hence both Spence & Crawford could withstand Porters's Flurries long enough for him to make a mistake in defense to exploit 🥊 But both Spence & Crawford KNOW They Cant eat them scoobie snacks from Thurman or Pacquaio's in the Pocket because they Crawford & Spence need to be able to Extend thier arms to deliver the energy🥊 neither Crawford Or Spence have ever demonstrated 1 punch Ko Power So they will rely on Skill To Outclass Thurman or Ennis at 154 Thurman Vs Ennis at 147 next year will be a very interesting watch 🥊.

How will we ever have the passing of the guard unless fights like this happen? Was Leonard proven before he fought Benitez? Hearns fought Cuevas, but didn’t have real names before he fought Leonard. Roy Jones in retrospect fought Bernard Hopkins, but look what he did to James Toney. Ali vs Liston. Now I have to favor Crawford over anyone right now, he’s looked so sharp. He’s for sure an all time great. Ennis is too offensive minded for his own good probably against Crawford. That being said Ennis moves really well, is likely faster and quicker then Terence. He also has a ton of power. I think the boxing world could make this a huge fight. I agree that Terence should be able to make as much money as possible. That being said how could the powers that be no generate more interest in Ennis then guys like Tszyu, Charlo twins, Spence rematch? I don’t see Jermell coming back down two weight classes. I think a lot of people feel Spence is broken. Tsxyu is really solid, but you watch him and Ennis side by side and it’s pretty clear who looks more formidable. Sure Crawford is a special talent and Ennis has never faced somebody like him. The same can definitely be said about Ennis, he’s so big, fast, switches stances as seamlessly or more then even Terence. Stylistically he used his jab more to control a fight. Is somebody Porter didn’t want to even entertain fighting. He hasn’t been tested properly, but nobody of note will fight him. I wish Kavaliauskas, Ortiz, Stanionis would fight him. I still think with the real fans there is no more legacy building fight available for TBC then Ennis.

I don't think Boots would be in over his head to the extent that Bradley is stating. Ideally I think it would be a good idea for Boots to fight a Thurman, A Garcia, A Shawn Porter,...a Kell Brook... But that may not be possible. I don't think any of these type or level of fighters want to get in there with him. Boots is 25 years old. He's in his physical prime. He fights like an experienced fighter. I think he has the skill sets coupled with the ring IQ to be a much deeper challenge then Spence. Spence never altered course...Just kept doing the same thing and sinking deeper and deeper into despair. I don't see that happening with Boots

Boots would bring a variety of challenges, but I think he needs a Thurman or Ugas first. Somebody who can think a little, change up if needed ect. Once he passes that test then yes... But the one thing about Bud that we have to deal with until he ages out is his ability to adapt and figure you out normally by round 4-6. That's where the difference would be. Yes, Boots is smart, but Bud is elite. We have to give that to him right now. He's proved that 35-40 times. He is elite. He's doing all-time great things in the ring. But to your point yes, Boots would offer more variety, but I think Bud figures it out mid fight.

Who’s stepping up to fight boots????? If Bradley was telling the truth, then he wouldn’t have mention Thurman nor Shawn porter! Shawn Porter on his own pod cast said that he wouldn’t fight boots, and that he on his way out of the door, which was before the Crawford fight. Then Thurman said who is boots, I’m not a gate keeper, but then went and fought Mario 😂😂😂😂

Boots is Crawford’s mandatory. He’s as ready as anyone else at 147. Dude is 26 years old and would be closer to 27 at the time of any potential Crawford fight. Crawford is 35 himself. How much longer is there to wait, really? There is no real way of getting ready against lesser opponents. Boots is a talented guy. That fight just needs to happen…and so be it if he loses. I honestly think he has a better chance than Errol did at 147 because he has exceptional footwork, faster hands, very good instincts, and better one punch KO power. Errol looked like he had nothing left at 147. So Boots should dare to be great and see what happens…he’s willing to risk his 0. No one wants to see him try to age Crawford out and wait until later. Do it NOW.

Not at all it does more for boots then Crawford to fight him. He’s a nobody & Crawford isn’t interested in fighting nobody up & comers. The biggest fight for him next is Charlo at 154. That way he becomes undisputed champ of 3 different weight classes.

This is the classic fan perspective, always at odds with business interest. Business dictates Ennis is still too green and that letting this one "marinate" a couple more years until Ennis has likely unified welter and become a face, rather than risking the 0 now, is the play. 154 against Bud after Bud has done what he'll do at 154 - clean up - and Ennis has gotten his own unified momentum is what it'll be. It's what we usually get

Did you see how Boots was lost and showed his inexperience at elite level, when he fought against an elusive fighter, with good footwork like Chukhadzhian??? Crawford's style (Switch hit, counter puncher, amazing footwork, shots you don't see coming, fight on back-foot etc) would be a NIGHTMARE for Boots.

Precisely. I've brought this up many times to crickets. Then voila, he looks back to his old self against Villa, another basic come forward guy in the pocket to tee off on. He absolutely is not ready for Crawford. That's another year or two. Sadly their primes will not overlap. Ennis has arrived at the back end of Bud's career. If they meet it's at 154 in a couple years with Crawford on the way out
