Something tells me that Herny hasn't put the most thought into what, exactly, it is that beavers do. Beavers chew wood to bring down trees. Trees tend to be big and heavy. Big and heavy trees tend to crush and kill beavers who are in the way when they fall. Ergo, when the the tree starts to fall, the beaver wants to make sure that it's out of the way so that the tree doesn't fall on them. This particular instance may not have involved a big and heavy tree, but that doesn't mean that the survival mechanism is missing, too.

Also full trees tend to creak when they are chewed like that due to the weight. In this case it was, just a stump so that beaver was genuinely surprised.

7:38 Not surprised. They're just naturally on edge so they can move when it's about to fall. It's a matter of survival for them. There are beavers that are squashed by trees that tip over when they build their dams. 10:30 Henry is, or at least has been, right. I've seen a few of their shorts and I seem to remember that he can see a slight bit of light and he uses that to know where to look and VERY basic navigation. He can't really see though.

Yes, Paul (the blind man) have some residual vision like a fingernail at arms length sized patch of blurry vision in the middle of a sea of noise, which is enough to see some things when he's looking straight at it. It's probably still useful for avoiding walking into large things like walls in areas he's familiar with but not enough to avoid waking into an open kitchen cupboard door. But it's famously not enough to notice anything in his peripheral vision, as demonstrated by all the silly but harmless pranks his husband Mathew plays on him exploiting his blindness. But the main reason he doesn't "look blind" is that he used to have pretty normal vision when he was a child; so he has all the mannerisms of someone sighted such as looking directly at someone who's talking (even though he cannot see a whole face all at once). Amazingly he's able to use the little vision he has along with a lot of imagination and clever use of high contrast and zoom on an iPad; to write and illustrate a children's book!

7:27 Its surprised or jumpy because it's the most dangerous part of felling trees and it isn't just because it falls on them(but that is mainly it) weird shit can happen, splinters can shoot out, it can impale you with the base even if it's falling the other way, etc. Beavers are instinctively weary of that tiny last part for a reason.

I dislike teachers who do this. I always feel like they are encouraging you to drop so they don’t have as much work lol. This is why I think a prof or teachers pay should be based on how many people complete their class with a passing grade. Also administrators need to stop encouraging kids to take classes that they’re obviously not smart enough to take. You got some kid licking the door knob as they come in they probably should be taking physics. In my opinion the schools do this to make more money. There is always those few kids that don’t get out past the deadline and they end up paying for class even though they dropped it

Hardly seems worth it to get the education to learn it and take a teaching position if your not going to get paid because the subject matter is difficult. Seems to me it would encourage the teachers to design their tests and coursework to get the maximum passing grades, regardless if the students actually learned the subject.

No. You buy a cow at 900 and sell at 1200. 300 profit. Buy a cow at 1300 you are now at a profit loss of -100 because you only gor 1200 for selling the cow but bought one for 1300. So you are paying 100 out of your own pocket. Sell that cow for 1600 and your profit is 300. Add in your -100 loss from buying the 1300 cow and your profit is $200

Okay so for the Cow Math thing, the $600 seems wrong, but it's right. If you write it out like a ledger for an account, say you start out with $2000. Then you subtract $900 for the first purchase leaving you with $1100. Then add $1200 from the first sale to get $2300. Then the 2nd purchase costs $1300 so you go down to $1000. Then the 2nd sale adds $1600 leaving you with $2600. The net gain between the beginning and end of the transaction ledger is $600. The way it's written makes it FEEL like a trap... but it's not. It's actually just really simple math and I feel a little silly having put this much effort into verifying that yes, 300+300=600 lol

It's a trick question. It asks "how much did I earn". The operative word being "earned". You're not wrong, but only if the question is "what was my total profit". Each time the cow was sold it was for 300, so the answer is 600, 300 each time it was sold. Or one could say 300, as both times it was sold was for that value. Cow math is not hard: Starting amount x, then we have x - 900 + 1200 - 1300 + 1600 = x - 2200 + 2800 = x + 600 So the difference from starting amount to end amount is 600, which is our profit.

use 900 and 100 for buy again so use 1000 in end you are get 1600 so you get 600 more i think

the library bit makes sense. if she picks a seat at THE only other person. then noone else is gonna come over and sit next to her and disturb her. because she is with someone else. and the guy she sits next to is gonna be in shock. and since she is not disturbing him go "...ok..."

The way I see it, I bought a cow for $900. ... ... I sold it for $1600. So, a profit of $700.

​@jbrou123 but you're forgetting the part where they sold the cow for $1200 and bought it back for a loss of $100... so you need to subtract those 100 from the 700 and u still get 600

Not enough information is given to solve this disingenuous and trick question. There are multiple definitions of profit that can assumed from a hypothetical scenario. There can be a transactional profit and balance based profit and if balance, who’s balance? Like for example how is the person getting their money? Is it even their money? If it belongs all to the individual who is preparing the transactions just like a linear point graph, then 600 is a fair assessment. If say this is an employee to some business then their profit from these transactions would be 0.

25:08 $600 is the right answer. There are a few ways to think about it. The easiest is to imagine it like an account. You start with $900 which you then spend on the cow. Now your account is at $0. Then you sell the cow for $1200, which becomes your new balance. Then you purchase the cow for $1300, which puts your account at -$100. The final sale of the cow at $1600 puts your account at $1500. Subtract the $900 initial investment and you are left with $600. You can do it the way a lot of businesses do it and start with $0. After the $900 purchase, you are at a loss of -$900. After the first sale, you are at -$900 + $1200 = $300. Then you purchase again and are at $300 - $1300 = -$1000. After the last sale you are at -$1000 + $1600 = $600. You can also just treat this as 2 separate sales. In the first, you make a purchase of $900 and sell at $1200 for a profit of $300. Then the second transaction is a purchase of $1300 and a sale of $1600 for another $300 profit. $300 + $300 = $600. The problem the comments who got $700 are having is they forget the $100 loss in the middle when they sold for $1200 and purchase for $1300. So they should be doing $1600 - $900 - $100 to get $600. That middle sale and purchase combo is important information.

Your final total is 600 (i.e. final - initial = 1500 - 900 = 600). re: "700" There is no info about a loan or credit in the problem, so we should assume all purchase funds came from the buyer. That includes the extra 100 out of his own pocket that was needed to make the 2nd purchase at 1300 (i.e. 1200+100).
