For you guys that are wondering tech week is the week before the musical where rehearsals are all with costumes, lighting, set, makeup, etc. So basically the rehearsals are like the whole performance with everything.

Bailey The Random Hufflepuff You should defiantly go for theater if you have a natural singing voice. If you have a stutter, theater is a good way to work to help it. There’s a girl in my theater division with Tourette’s, and she finds a way. To remember your lines, just remember to pick up on cues in the conversation. And band kids aren’t that scary, the flutes aren’t even bad once you get to know them.

we play under the sea all the time, usually started by the marimba guy joined by brass and cellos (cuz cellos are awesome and know all the songs) and everyone else playing harmonies and generally just driving the conductor mad. it really freaks out the actors and directors. also had a cello section in an orchestra once who all started to play despacito as loud as physically possible. our section tutor gave up after that.

@@lovefromjazz if youre in HS drama, it NEVER hurts to try out. i tried out freshman year, and i fought with my family because i didnt want to do it, but in the end i made it and it was the best experience of that year ever. plus, the seniors in the end graduate, yk. even if you dont get the part one year, they'll see youre confident enough to try out and put you on a list!

SAME, last year for Footloose the power went out and our generator power kicked in all fine and dandy except there are specific lights programmed to turn on when the power goes out and you can't turn them out, so the auditorium was lit up and we could see every audience members uninterested face.

Oh dude. I'm an art kid, band kid and (just recently!) a theater kid. It's not that bad, well at least I don't think so. We haven't really done much in rehearsals yet

i kept seeing the theater tiktoks with prince ali and just thinking “i memorized this for the musical last year i can absolutely sing that”

My school friends think I'm weird for being in theatre, but it's just so fun ! You literally make a family out of the cast and it's amazi.g for people's confidence. My friend has anxiety and social anxiety and now she is shining thru because of theatre

I’ve actually always wanted to be a theater kid, and it was my childhood dream job to be an actress, but then i realized I can’t sing... I still kinda dream about it tho 😂😅

And then orchestra just chillin on there instruments scared and then evolving into just shielding the instruments

This cured my Post-Show Depression, thank you!

These tik toks make theater seem so fun. I never got a chance as my city was never big on theater.

the "if it's not your prop don't touch it" is super accurate for me bc when we did high school musical my senior year, i was head props and literally every day i was yelling at people for moving the props around when it wasn't theirs

I’m a theater kid...but my anxiety is off the charts, I haven’t been in a show since I went to high school, which was two years ago.

I’m really good at acting but not really singing, so I always get main roles for plays, but only decent roles for musicals.

My school never does musicals and there's no drama class. The drama club sucks, they only choose "funny" plays, and the popular/teachers' kids get all the roles. Never get picked anymore and it's pretty sad because people used to tell me how good my acting was and I got really confident with myself.

The tech week ones looming over people are so true xD It's one or probably all of my theatre teachers' biggest fear xD
