After rehearsal today several kids started singing a choir piece spontaneously and they sounded great and I was just like "holy shit now I know I'm in theater"

My school, which is primarily white, is doing West Side Story this year and I’m not having it.

Yo this summer we had competion not theater and I had to cry in ½ of a minute I did it and was the only one who nailed that challange, THE ONLY ONE FROM THE WHOLE CAMP

I went to school with the this is my voice chick. She was cool

My sisters friend who was literally the best got the wicked witch in the wiz of oz freshman year. She had been doing theatre since she was 3 and a senior girl was super mean to her just because she was talented.

Once, during the sword fight in Peter Pan, my sword just snapped. Mine and some lost boy's swords hit, and mine just.... broke. I had to surrender. I was on the stage for 2 minutes. Was real disappointing.

I played Morticia in The Addams Family recently, and at one point we had to toast the wednesdays boyfreinds parents, and the guy who played gomez would always CHUG the freaking fake wine. i never said anything but gave him the death glare “in character” but oh my god it was so real.

The difference between me and my friend (we are literally the same person) is that I learn the lines when we get the script and before we even get our roles and he doses Learn his lines he just reads them then goes on stage 😂 love him tho he’s my bestie (I had to memorise his lines and dance incase he forgot (he his) and yh)

I just got a musical theatre ad and I’m watching these and I’m being sad that I’ve never been able to join theatre because of effing anxiety.

the times when theatre kids remember their line me: *has only one line but is still a main character* i’m never gonna remember this line.

When you can are one of the only people at your school who does therater at the local theater and you just sometimes work up some tears when people tell you the most random stuff.

When u a theatre and band kid so you get first dibs on people

At my school it doesn’t matter how good you are, but if your not a senior and you audition for the lead, you will be the laughingstock of the department. I’m not sure if it’s tradition or a rule but ONLY seniors get the lead. We always laugh at the new kid in the department who tries out for the lead. ONLY SENIORS!

Fun Fact; We did Newsies last year and so the kid who played Jack had a really stressful time with the choreography. So this year's homecoming, he was forced into a dance circle, and the kids wouldn't let him leave till he did some flips and so he did and had a panic attack and had to leave.. we love highschool
