The fact that they are living is the saddest part as their breed is caused by human intervention. They have a lot of health problems AND they are ineffective in the wild, especially the white tigers, as some normal functions do not work. They are caged to contain our greed and faults to not harm the ecosystem.

​@@desdearbactually it is proved by scientists that ligers and tigons lived before humans cross bred them, the reason why you can't find any in the wild any more is because we decreased the lion and tiger populations by over 90% so their territories don't overlap anymore

Dude, Tigon is smaller than liger because they have an inhibit growth from their mother(lioness). On the other hand, a liger doesn't (cause their mom is tigress) so that make them more bigger than usual.

The conditions of where these animals are being kept is disgusting. They should be removed to a big cat sanctuary, and left to live peacefully for the rest of their days (and seeing as hybrids like this have a very short life expectancy, I doubt they'll last much longer.)

actually 18-22 years in captivity. Tigers 20-26 years in captivity (10-15 years in the wild) and lions 20-25 years in captivity (but only 10-14 years in the wild). So, before you comment please do your research. Humans have breed animals for work and show for hundreds of year and today is no different than those days (its why we have the labra doddle). And, there are paintings of Ligers dating back to 1798 when tiger and lion territory overlapped.

Age doesn't matter. Do you even care about the well being of these wonderful creatures? I hope this place is shut down and they are taken to a peaceful place. And 18-22 years is more than a third of the life span of a human. How would you like it if you were in these conditions? And you saw them pacing? If big cats are pacing that means that they need more room. And nothing will live to their life expectancy in those conditions. And yes, we have bred animals for work and show. But that in no way means that the animals were actually in good health.

Those big cats are more amazing than lions and tigers of both sex. Its like a lion with bolder, more beautiful colors. A lion with more agility and more limbernes. not so stiff like a lion, but with the brave posture. It has the prowles of a tiger, coiled up and ready to strike fast. They should make more of these. Coolest big cat by far.

Some people say that hybirds between the Asiatic Lion and Caspian Tiger(an extinct toger subspecies) hybridized in india since their habitats overlaped there. But since asiatic lions where exterminated from india and Caspian Tigers where hunted to extinction both species where not able to fully pass their genomes.

What a beast. Unlike ligers, these guys don't seem to have many health issuest and might survive well in the wild.

True but what you are doing in life? You are an apex predator and tertiary carnivore. (Most humans are) People rear chicken, goat, pigs, cows and eat their flesh. Isn't it exploitation? Fishes never harm you but you exploit them by rearing them. I guess one needs to look on his back before they pass a judgement. Don't think only your pain is pain and your thoughts are most important thoughts. Animals also feel pain. I know you have concerns for tigons but on the other end before commenting that some other humans are exploiting tigons, please think about your role in the exploitation business. Thanks

Megan Needs they are in the cage because they are cross breed from tiger and lion! as the natural habitat for tigers and lions are separate from each other that's why the hybrids are kept inside cages...

This is actually very sad because these beautiful tigons are trapped in small concrete enclosures. 😢
