Way to go Sophie! The remora seems like an awesome feature of the Tigershark 👏👏

Thank you very much Greg! I’m preparing a Remora for the Whaleshark as well, though, the skater will have to drill its own favorite WB on its board, but I guess any OG’s skater did, or can do it! 🤜🏽
This looks fantastic Shane and Sophie! Excellent improvement to an already awesome deck. A little more compact and edgier design, i’m lovin’ it! 🤙🏻

That’s really good to hear Marcel! As I mentioned before, your feedbacks on the Whaleshark has been helpful in the process of creating the Tigershark. I always keep in mind what the rider’s says about my decks :) The Tigershark is more compact but with a wider tail, so we’re going to be more locked in in bowls and pump track
Great review! Shane. Happy new year!

Good going Shane, Nice deck Sophie sent you I love the extra wide tail and the Remora extension. I noticed with the Remora you are able to rest your foot in the front pocket better without the board doing a nose dive. Kind of makes us wonder why more companies don't offer multi holes on the front of their decks. I agree, looks like Sophie scored a 10 on this deck

I know right! The remora is such an amazing piece of equipment. The more I ride it, the more I like it. The tail is so well thought. Definitely a 10 !

Finally a surf skate deck with a an adjustable wheelbase. I have never understood why more surfskate companies don’t do this. I suppose it forces you to but a whole new deck just to try out a slightly different wheelbase!

Hi Jordan, I wouldn’t know either why other brands don’t add multiple WB options, apart from the cost. It’s a little more expensive to do it, and since a lot of people shop for the lowest price, that might be a reason. I really hope it’s not intended to sell more boards, even though your hypothesis makes much sense. It’s so against sustainability for the planet, and it wouldn’t be really respectful towards the skaters. I’m a skater, first and foremost, and that’s the skater in me that drives my business decisions, and not the entrepreneur. That’s why the skater’s experience is at the top of my priority list 🤗
Hey Shane, nice review . The deck looks really nice and I am sure performs really well. I would like to know if you have seen the new Long Island Lean Genesis trucks? I think they would be great on this deck. I hope you will do a review on the new Long Island Genesis trucks and their new surfskate the Mossel. I have seen two reviews in French and they say that it is more stable than the Yow but very flexible and a really nice board. You can check them out on their KZread site - Oh My Board .
Great review. I don’t shred it like you but I ride a Tiger shark too and love it. Skate bolts have the same thread but the head size varies. If you want to solve the front truck bolts being slightly proud you can use bolts with small head or if you have any woodworking skills, you can use a chamfer bit in a drill press to remove a touch of material so the bolt sits nice and flush. (I’m really liking your stick drill to help solve the disconnect between my upper and lower body. Lightbulb has started to go on for me. Thankyou)

I have a drill press and a set of countersinks, but for a small job like this I just use a hand countersink.
@wingnut381
8 ай бұрын
Agreed. Hand countersink is just as good. If anything it’s better as it’s slower and more predictable. I only use the drill press as it’s to hand and set up.
Deck design is STUNNING!! I think you can solve the "problem" with angled screws, often used in slalom or ldp with some serious wedge risers.... Like Alberto here below, I'm also very interested in a comparative between this deck and a Soulboardiy Adam: which is better for which use? Cruising? Bowl?

What about it in comparison to the soulboardy adam (xl)?😊
I would love for a qwik trucks with multiple wheelbase options, all my trucks I would typically run at different widths
You were riding soundboard y deck in a different video and I would like to ask about your comparative. I’m riding in streets and skateparks, with my yow (meraki trucks) and I don’t know what of the decks will be better for any condition. In souldboardly I’m thinking in a revolution Adam, with less flex, because I think that more flex could be bad for a bowl. I don’t know, could you give me your opinion? Thanks, greetings from Spain and happy new year!!! 🙂

Great review, Shane, thanks! How does the weight of the TigerShark compare to the weight of the Whaleshark? Happy New Year!

Hi Rob! Shane is riding an hand shaped prototype so it might slightly differ from the final one. The final TigerShark isn’t out yet, but I will be able to weigh it for you as soon as it’s ready. Are you asking this because you found the Whaleshark heavy?
@Didgeman80
Жыл бұрын
@@whitetailskateboards I wouldn't say the Whaleshark is super heavy but I have been curious, as of lately, about lighter weight boards; that's why I'm wondering how they compare. I love the Whaleshark and dare I say, I think the TigerShark looks even better! :)

@@Didgeman80 hihi thanks Rob! I’m really excited for the Tigershark too, I’m waiting for the manufacturer’s prototype, I hope my CAD was okay, so I can give the GO for the production. The wait is killing me 😅
Seems like a really nice board👍Is dropping in okay with the tigershark?
@whitetailskateboards
Жыл бұрын
Hi Ernie, I am biased because I designed this board based on my personal preferences - and by discussing with other riders like Shane - so take my answer with a grain of salt 😊 but with such a wide tail, dropping in is much easier, and the Remora allows the front foot to be locked in while reducing the risks of nose diving cause the truck can be further in front of the pocket.
Nice Deck Nice design

Hi David, I made a custom wheelbase on Shane’s TigerShark at his own request. The TigerShark I’m working will have 17”, 18” and 19” wheelbase options, if everything goes as planned. So, to answer your question, the widest will be 19” Which wheelbase length are you looking for?

When will the Tiger Shark be available? BTW 16 is probably a little too short. Your dimensions of 17-19 sounds perfect.

The noise of the wheels sliding sounds goofy and irritating especially in slow mo. 😮
Way too much whistling
Thanks Shane for the nice review with your insights and congrats to Sophie @Whitetailskateboards for your excellent improvements 🫶🏼! I would like to know what are your thoughts and intentions of the griptape which seems different from the conventionally used.

It is a non-abrasive griptape. Saves the shoes, the finger and the bags from scratches. Using regular griptape seemed unnecessary for me as these grips good enough.

Hi Peter! Thank you for the kind words 😃 About the griptape, I'm currently testing non abrasive griptape from 2 different brands to see if they'd be a good added value to my collection. Shane is kind enough to try my prototypes like the TigerShark, the Remora prototype and the addition of this non abrasive grip. The griptape testing is still in progress. Do you think I should do a review video about them? Thanks Peter!
