I was 1 of the commenter's that said that the video with Bryson changed my mind on him. He went from smug and arrogant to being just a guy who is who is and just has a process to his game. I subscribed to his channel and follow his socials. Those are the guys I want on the channel and podcast. Phil Mickelson, Tiger, and Jon Daly would be great. I met Jon Daly at a Casino in Mississippi once and he was a great guy who treated me as if I was his friend. This was right in the middle of the prime Tiger years and he spoke of Tiger to me, but it wasn't in a good way. He said Tiger was an arrogant prick who while he was better than everyone, he made sure he told people how good he was, he also told me about all the women Tiger used and then disposed of like trash, this was before it all came out and I couldn't believe it. Jon Daly would be a great great person to have on

i believe everything jon said because it's well known that tiger was an ahole, but was jon daly in a position to criticise tiger? He keeps going on podcasts bragging about beating this and that guy and how he could have more wins than everyone, used to take his dates to strip clubs, was detained for domestic violence, was an alcohol/drug abuser and destroyed his whole career gambling/drinking away hundreds of millions of dollars to the point of ending up ruined living in an RV.Jon Daly treated you "like a friend " because he was waisted out of his mind like so many drunks do,then they get that trigger and become complete jerks and end up sleeping in jail like jon did several times. 2 wrongs don't make a right,if Htler had the opportunity to be on the internet there's a good chance people would be saying how wonderful a person he was, ffs..dally was,on HIS OWN WORDS,a terrible father, husband, son,and a nightmare for everyone in golf, the higher ups kept giving him chances to get up on his feet and he kept fist fckn everybody, and somehow now he's a hero because he was an alchoolic mess, give me a break 😂 He was ALMOST as bad as tiger, i say almost because at least he didn't allow his wife to be degraded and bullied by his fans when she decided to leave after finding out she was being cheated on..every day!, while taking care of their kids like tiger's, his ex wife was called a w h o r e and spat in the face carrying one of his kids and he couldn't care less, probably her own fault in his mind, zero accountability. But hey, karma's a btch!

Winter golf playing your friends in match play or playing a scramble to try shoot under par has been some of the most enjoyable times on the course. Summer golf is nice but so much more tense constantly worrying about your handicap that doesn’t mean anything at the end of the day

During our winter league, we play for a toy snake, which you get if you 3 putt and if you have it at the end, it’s your round in the clubhouse. Costing me a fortune this year, not because of many 3 putt’s but lack of them from others too 👌

Hi guys great podcast as usual on a different topic please could you do a video on the best golf balls to use for a high handicap golfer. I’m sure there are many other golfers like me who look forward to a round of golf and we walk into the pro shop to be surrounded by so many different types of balls at a range of different prices and I’m always drawn to buying premium ones which aren’t always going to improve my game. Having a better understanding of what is going to be better suited for my handicap would be a great help and could help me feel more positive about my game. Many thanks Jay

@@96per58 mate it's the worst kept secret in golf......along with Columbian Marching powder being widely used as well. All athletes get on the juice recovering from breaks and other severe injuries, the trick is coming off it at the right time in the cycle and testing period. Anyone with half a braincell can see Tiger would piss red-hot at the minute, which is fine....I would too coming back from that. But get off the gear.....Bryson lost 20lbs when he got off it and stopped his pursuit of distance.

I reckon Tiger will sign a deal similar to what Roger Federer did in 2018 after being with Nike for 20 years. Considering Roger was on the tail end of his career when Fed went to Uniqlo it proved to be one of most financially savvy moves an ageing sports star has made in recent times. It worked out he was on $10 million a year on average with Nike since 2008-2018. With Uniqlo he then signed a 10 year deal worth somewhere between 300/440 million so at least x3 his money. It makes perfect sense for TW to have a deal something like that lined up next.

  • @Chris54321
    @Chris543216 ай бұрын

Tiger will do well whatever he does, but i think the real trend will be reasonably priced equipment and gear. Direct to consumer brands and Kirkland Signature seem to offer quality at a fair price. As for Jon Rahm, would it have been better if he completely trashed the PGA on his way out? It may have been more forthcoming, but it would not have been better for golf.

Well done on a big year - you’re becoming a powerful golf brand. Branding is about authenticity. So ironic to see you wearing L&S sweater and your RS talking about Tiger shifting from Nike. You’re much better as a relatable golf guy who takes us deeper into the game we all love through vicarious fantasy golf experiences and the opportunity to meet some heroes. But the merch pitch man persona is really tacky. Also don’t underestimate Guy - he is a great straight man to keep you honest and grounded.

Roger Federer, the face of Nike Tennis, left and signed with Uniqlo for $300 Million for 10 years. Also, On gave him 3% of the company which equals $180 Million. Tiger would be a fool to stay unless Nike can match a deal like that.

You are 100% right, however, Nike could match anything put on the table by a competitor. It will come down to whether they want to pay the money really. I obviously don't know the specifics, but of the $51.217 billion USD Nike made in 22/23, I can't imagine Nike Golf contributed a pivotal amount to that figure that'd make them desperate to keep him. You obviously don't want to lose a Tiger Woods, but if you think about it, almost EVERY iconic image of Tiger is him in the red Nike polo... Clearly they'll continue benefiting from having had him for 27 years, whether he's on the payroll or not. Very excited to see how things transpire...

Hey Rick, I know you must get lots of advice from us non pro's but I am 56 ( six handicap) and a real student of the swing and having watched literally 1000's of your golf swings I have noticed something that I think could be worth investigating (you probably know this but here goes) I can watch your take away and pause the video and predict a good or crooked shot based on the amount of early wrist hinge. When you are relaxed and playing well the early wrist hinge is much less but sneaks in when you are trying to hit it hard or get a little tense. Also you chipping tempo is way too fast. There I have got it off my chest, do with it what you will.

How sure are we that Nike didn't proactively ditch Tiger and the "spin" is that Tiger is leaving them? Kinda like a "you can't fire me, I quit" situation. Because if I were Nike I wouldn't want anything to do with Tiger going FWD knowing how's he's about to completely embarrass himself next year with this (yawn) latest "comeback" attempt. Just give it up Tiger, it was over a long time ago.

It’s the only brand that does good gear in my size too 😮 Apparently they make no money from their golf apparel. The Jordan range makes them more in shoes alone then their whole Nike golf apparel section apparently 💁‍♂️

I think they missed a big opportunity then if that's true. Why wouldn't they just shift the golf line to Jordan? He is a well known golfer and I see people wearing Jordan shoes on videos anyway... Ironically might interest more people currently in golf apparel and maybe even trying golf....

I think that’s the whole point. They are gonna focus on the Jordan part for golf 2024 onwards. So essentially still be making Golf apparel just Jordan branded instead of the swoosh I’m actually gutted as it’s really the only brand I wear as it fits really well and it quite well made. I’ve literally just snagged a £200 coat on their website for half the price ….a lot of their apparel right now has huge discounts on it already

@@swinn_e3551 yeah, one thing with shifting to the Jordan umbrella is it certainly won't help the pricing ...

@@DavidSmith-lo7wf not even sure I’d buy the clothing if I’m honest. The fit is totally different. The shoes are amazingly comfortable and a good summer shoe

How about tackling the subject of Tiger doing steroids? He has the look, and tons of people think he’s on gear.

Can only see Liv growing now Rahm has left and only majors becoming 4 round comps. If Liv pick up another significant player it's just adding nails to coffins. Viktor's the new flagship face as competition

Rory has got to be the least likable person on tour from a personality perspective. Tyrrell Hatton, on the other hand, looks like he’d be great fun on the podcast. If you do get Scotty Cameron on the podcast, please tell him to put some magnets in his headcovers. I love the cover look, but hate the Velcro.

Surely Tiger gets a personal black cat line with Puma??
