Natural World: Return of the Tiger
Five years ago the tigers of Sariska Reserve, India, were completely wiped out by poachers. It was a huge setback in the war to save this treasured species from extinction - but now conservationists are fighting back. This beautiful film follows a female tiger and a hot-blooded male over 18 months as they try to establish their new territory, learn to hunt their prey and dodge the ever-present threat of poachers.
Welcome to BBC EARTH! The world is an amazing place full of stories, beauty and natural wonder. Here you'll find 50 years worth of astounding, entertaining, thought-provoking and educational natural history content. Dramatic, rare, and exclusive, nature doesn't get more exciting than this.

Animals do have strong feelings. Seeing this reminds me of my dog, who was taken away from me. In my absence, my neighbours sent him to some remote place by putting him at the back of a truck, just because they didn't like dogs. Later i found what they did to him. I searched for him for days, but never found him. I cried so much for him, maybe he did the same when he was searching for me. This happened in 2007, i still remember him and all the good memories i had with him. Even though i love dogs so much, i never adopted one after that. I can't bear the pain of loosing a dog

Tiger population is increasing in India since tiger are are solitary beast each tiger has its own territory which is very large some tigers are unable to conquer any territory because of old age or injuries therefore they moved to rural Villages and attack on cattles since they are easy targets this leads to conflict with humans Most of the villagers are very matured and understand the importance of tiger even many Hindus workship tiger and offer them sacrificed meat of goat But some fool misguided and poor villagers gets angry when their cattle dies by tiger attack since their cattle is the only source of income Therefore due to anger and rage they poison the left over dead cattle so that when tiger come back to eat the remaining part he will die painfully Nowadays government is giving money to the villagers who lost their cattle due to animal attack So such incidents are slowly reducing Source :- my father who is the forest ranger of kanha national park 🇮🇳🥰

Not knowing where the partner his, she merely calls for him and will even ditch him if she finds another one. There are animals that actually grieve like Magpies, and animal that actually have only one partner for life, even dying if something like this happens, but this isn't really the case

I mean, in this scenario, these people are right lol. She had no idea her mate was dead, and was just horny because she was in heat. However, other species of animal, and yes even cats, can feel loss and sorrow, and as a consequence, depression. Dogs especially, as well as elephants, birds, and rats.

According to BBC Earth, the tigers were being monitored by conservationists for 18 months and when the tiger named Adjur suddenly went missing, they went searching for him but sadly found the tiger dead. After investigating; they discovered the tiger was poisoned by a villager who claimed to be protecting his cattle. Would like to know if the villager was fined and/or imprisoned since apparently, killing tigers in India is now illegal and punishable. Will there be a follow up to this story? Also wonder why the villager did not call India’s wildlife organization or conservationists to voice his concerns and ask them to relocate the tigers to another part of the reserve or jungle? Perhaps someone could educate the villager and suggest that a good quality fence might be the best solution to protect his livestock so he doesn’t kill anymore tigers?

The authorities are not very prompt on relocating requests by villagers, and that's why a lot of villagers have to resort to these kind of solutions. A lot of villagers trap them to kill them. It's not 1 villager's fault, it's our fault as a species with an ever growing population, so much so that we take away every animals right to live by taking up a lot of space.

It's beginning to seem as though animals show more compassion and sympathy for eachtoher than humans in this day and age, I had a pet guinea pig and a pet rat, believe it or not, they were really close friends! The rat would run down to the guinea pig cage and often slip through the bars and they would actually lay together or share food. The piggie was a rescue and he was unfortunately mistreated by his owner to a point of being grotesquely underweight with bumblefoot and a severe infection in his lungs. He fought for a month before quietly passing in his sleep. My rat was never the same after his passing and would often sit in the spot where his cage once was, not wanting to do anything more than lay there. When I was bedridden after my spinal tap, my rat was so worried about me not coming to his cage as I did every morning that he found a way to escape which he never did prior and he ran to my bed then cuddled on my chest showing genuine concern. Animals care for eachother and other species far more than some people care for eachother or other races. If my rat could love a guinea pig, and even me, a menacing giant compared to him. Then humans can learn to love eachother. No matter the difference
