This version totally stole the love I had with the Grace Nono version. I've also watched UMC and other choirs sing this with a different tempo and in other theaters, but this one is the best! The beat was perfect, not to mention the acoustics and stomping provided a climactic march. We need an audio version of this please!

Their performance is so empowering that ever since I first heard this, I've been playing it daily to hype myself up for the board exam I took just this month. Padayon! ❤ Also found translation for the first part, but if anyone can provide for the whole song it would be well appreciated. "Padayon, padayon lamang. Ang higayon, musubang karon. Padayon, ug panlimbasug. Ang panahon, anaa sa imong kamot." Go, keep going. An opportunity will shine forth today. Go and strive hard. Time is in your hands.

This is the type of music I can listen to all day. That girl soloist in the middle is a beast! Bravo!!

@@jafjaf2046 This is not kundiman though. As far as I remember Kundiman is about love song and written in Tagalog. Kundiman is also gentle and mellow kind of music. This Padayon does not fit the description.

The ethnic-folk character of the piece was well performed. The instrumentation, and the textures and layers of the vocal accompaniment, and the lyricism were very distinct to each other. Other choirs who interpreted this piece sounded artificial/forced, but the ethnic feel these guys gave us sounded so, so natural. Thank you UMC for giving us, by far, the best interpretation of this piece. Padayon! ❤

this is the best version of Padayon performance I've seen.

Heard a lot of wonderful versions/arrangements of this, but I guess a Mindanaon choir performing a Mindanaon piece just hits different. Wonderful job University of Mindanao. All the love from Laguna!

Wow, sooo beautiful and so envigorating to listen to ❤❤❤ Nakakapanindig-balahibo, parang yung tipong music that makes you wanna get up fast and kick some butts (not literally, of course 😂) nakaka-energize lang🕺 And to think that they didn't use any instrument other than a dabakan. They made all that amazing sound with their voices. Impressive!
