Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie, Hunan🇨🇳 The Most Amazing Mountain in China (4K HDR)
Tianmen Mountain (天门山) is a notable landmark located within Tianmen Mountain National Park, Zhangjiajie, in the northwestern part of Hunan Province (湖南省), China. The mountain reaches an elevation of 1,518.6 meters (4,982 feet), making it a prominent feature in the region. It became even more accessible after the construction of the Tianmen Mountain Cableway in 2005, which is celebrated as the "longest passenger cableway of high mountains in the world," spanning 7,455 meters (24,459 feet) with a total ascent of 1,279 meters (4,196 feet).
Visitors to Tianmen Mountain can explore kilometers of paths along the cliff face at the mountain's summit, including sections with glass floors, offering breathtaking views. Another remarkable feature is the Tongtian Avenue, an 11 km (7 mi) road with 99 bends leading up to the mountain and to the Tianmen cave, a natural arch with a height of 131.5 meters (431.4 feet), often referred to as Heaven's Door (天门). The entrance to this cave is marked by the "Stairway to Heaven," consisting of 999 steps.
The summit is also home to the Tianmenshan Temple, accessible by chairlift or footpath. The original temple, built during the Tang dynasty, was destroyed in the early 20th century, but a new temple, reflecting Tang dynasty architecture, was constructed in 1949. The temple is set within landscaped grounds covering 2 hectares (4.9 acres).
Tianmen Mountain has been a site for various events, including the World Wingsuit Championships. It also features the "Coiling Dragon Cliff" skywalk, a glass pathway that opened in August 2016, offering visitors a unique perspective of the mountain's surroundings.

For many years, I had nightmares (night dreams) of a massively tall stairway like this, even before I disturbed my inner ear balancing organ inside my head while walking up the Eiffel Tower in Paris in 1973. Nice to look at but it gives the shudders of fright to think of climbing up but especially down those stairs.

Wow, it’s so very beautiful! I imagine you must be in great shape to make it up to these heights ~ me and my walker probably never gonna get to do that, so I am especially appreciative of your video! That glass boardwalk part is just too nerve wracking, lol, and the path around the mountain was so cool! What really surprised me was the whole Buddha temple city thing on top of the mountain ~ like who carted all the building supplies up there to construct all of that in the first place?! 😮 Probably not the golden fat Buddha dude they had sitting up at the top, lol! Thank you so much for posting this amazing trip, from Idaho, USA! ❤❤ OH, and ps ~ thank you for going into the buildings and showing what’s in there. I watch another channel that the gal walks all over the place but rarely ever shows you what is in the open doors she goes past. Me and my grandson are always “go inside, no, no, no go inside, just for a second, even! What… What was that? Go inside, please…. Aagghhh” 😂😂😂😂

I like the style, no narration pure enjoyment. I suspect it's a gopro camera clipped on the body. It would be nice to have a second macro camera for fauna and flora along the way.
