Exploring Zhangjiajie: China’s mystical land of Avatar
Zhangjiajie in northwest China inspired the bewitching landscapes of James Cameron’s science-fiction blockbuster Avatar. Join Min-Zhui Lee as she discovers the UNESCO-listed scenic areas of Wulingyuan, venturing underground through caves, down a magical lake in the mountains and then high up to precipitous rock formations and across the world’s longest and highest glass bridge.

I am from Indonesia. I've visited Zhangjianie years ago. This place is really beautiful. It must be paradise on earth.
Unfortunately no photo, or video does this magical place justice. We went there in December, although it was cold, we fell in love. Never have I seen such a beautiful place, ever & we travel a lot! These forests are breathtaking and peaceful. The people of Zhangjiaji are so kind, I loved it. The glass bridge is terrifying, but for those not afraid of heights will find it thrilling. The ride up to top of the forest in the cable car is amazing and scenic. You must see this once in your life. The glass elevator is also terrifying but the views are amazing. One of our favorite places in China

It's just as beautiful in the summer we as an English family loved it would love to go back again it's a place everyone should see
Great people and great country!!greetings from Canada.
Appreciate you braving the bitter cold to show these beautiful places, thank you .
China is such a beautiful country! With a lot of beautiful cities and parks and nature all around, and I'm so glad that China has fast GSM and LTE and WiFi just about everywhere, from what I've heard and read, the data transition in Europe and Asia, and in China is more advanced and faster than in the USA. I would like to visit China, and i see their are good people with good hearts in China that love cats and dogs and baby puppies and kitten's. Besides their are lots of banks in China as well where it would be formidable to invest some money and get around China, using money or a credit card, or even a smartphone with NFC and Bluetooth in order to pay for anything!
This is the most informative and beautiful vlogs I’ve ever seen about Ziangjiajie. Hopefully when the situation will get better, we’ll try to visit this place next year, 2021.
Was in Zhangjiajie in May 2018. Saw the peaks, nature towers shown in this video doc. Walked across the glass bridge. At the end of the side, there are step passage down all the way to the bottom of the canyon, follow by amazing trials along creeks and waterfalls. Took 45 min to reach the lake for boat ride to the transport hub. Dazzling, breathtaking and invigorating. Must visit. !!!!
It looks stunning, the Chinese are so lucky to have such beautiful place to just lose yourself in your imagination .The film was beautiful to look at ,but to be there would obviously enhance everything.
Thank you for this great presentation. Glad it was you and not us, going to visit Zhangjiajie in winter, we saw this area once in autumn - the autumn color display was amazing and the clear far sight so impressive. As we hiked along those walks (there are 60 km of walk-ways), we did not even feel any cold. We went again during summer and saw what you missed, the musical presentations of folklore everywhere & artistic parts like the Charming Xiangxi at the Wulingyuan Theater or the Fox Fairy Show beneath the Tianmen Mountain. The glass bridge was back then still not existent, but the glass bath was. The Flying Fox from the top of Heaven's Gate was short lived due to being to risky as accidents happened.
Gorgeous place to visit. Thank you for sharing it.
good! a nice trip :) greetings from Trieste. Italy
~This is one I will add to my virtual travel experience while not being able to travel. Thank you for a lovely presentation by a lovely presenter~
Zhangjiajie seems like a wonderland. Awesome 👍
An excellent presentation. I was there before they started to but the tallest elevator - China scenic views are breathtaking and as a pioneer I am resolute to visit this place again in the near future. Well done young lady
we went twice to see Zhangjiajie - unforgetable ! You should have befriended / hired a registered local tour guide, we did not have to wait in line and had the best time ever. You went up to Baofong Lake we asume?....the scenery, the locals, the food, the music - one has to go there and experiance it all - mesmarising !!

Does anyone know what month this video was recorded? Some videos done by other people are not recommending to visit during winter as most of the things are closed because of snow. I am thinking about visiting in January. Any advice?
Hi Min-Zhui Lee, it's been quite a long time ago when I watched your travelogue video. Just happen to come across and re-watch again. Are you still with Travelogue? Like your program. 😊👍

Seriously, This video triggered my vertigo SEVERAL times. lol
Many China mountain from Taishan, Wu Taishan,Emei, Huang shan had cables cars now.Zhangjiajie and the glass bridge and elevator are the most visited site. The chinese spent long hours researching and testing these glass before setting up the bridge. Cannot be wrong.
I will come in the next week...
Why is your dslr camera allowed at the glass bridge? I will be visiting next mth and was told that dslr camera is not allowed, is that true?
Interessante...

What month was this when you visited?
You definitely should go there in summer. A little bit awkward.
Wow
Min zhui you are the best among female anchors
Oh dear you, you did aggravate your previous knee injury by jumping on the glass bridge and all that climbingso it will take some time and care to heal. I know because I'm having a similar knee injury due to too much cave climbing in Mulu Caves, Sarawak and aggravated it by a strenuous jog thinking i have recovered from the injury and now still nursing it. Best wishes and take care from one in Malaysia. Yes looks great, I'm planning to visit Changsha and Zhangjiajie sometime next autumn with my family and relatives. Looking forward to it.

Yes, I did! It was an old jogging injury and slipping on the glass bridge plus the climbing and the cold made it worse! But it's all good now :) I hope you've recovered from yours!
