Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Won't Ruin the Weekend

Ойын-сауық

This week's video we head up to a dispersed campsite that is maintained by the county. It was a big clean site that allows one camping unit up to 14 days of free camping. This weekend we experienced thunderstorms, heat and humidity but the nights cooled off nicely. I caught a few fish and talked with some of the cabin owner in the area. All in all, it was a good weekend. Thanks for tuning in and I'll see you again next week.

Some people have absolutely nothing better to do with their time. I appreciate constructive criticism. It helps me become better. But nagging on me because I have a Minnesota accent isn't helpful to me or the channel. Some people are just negative. I'm glad I don't have to walk in their shoes. What a horrible life for them and everyone around them.

I'm watching the EP Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain ! 11 months old !! I've just been with you Kenny for about three months months now . I was looking for Mr.Toby , but I don't think you've got him yet ! You said something about going fishing and I thought about when you had Mandy with you and you were fishing around the corner from her , you came back and said the lake didn't have any fish in it , but Mandy had already caught two or three fine little Sun Perch , LOL . Don't feel alone about never catching anything ! I've been fishing 70 years Mr. Kenny , and a five gallon bucket could hold them all ! Well , you be real careful on your travels ! Say hello to Toby for me , and I'm fixing to find another show ! Keep them coming , And God bless you and your family . : NightWalker: That was just our call sign in Nam.

Thanks Jay! Those are the little details that most people don't realize unless they have edited videos. I don't like getting my speakers or ears blown out because people don't lower the volume of power tools in post. I spend a lot of time editing my audio. This video was tough because I forgot to plug in the wireless mic. That's why some of the audio was low before I went fishing. I had to crank up the audio to the max, and still, the audio was low.

I live in Northern Lower Michigan and I have a camper setup in my 2002 Ford Ranger bed. You’ve motivated me to get out and do some camping when my weekend schedule allows. There are a couple rustic campgrounds around me, but Michigan also allows camping anywhere on state land as long as you’re one mile or more from a designated campground. Please keep up the great work, I love watching your videos!

you are so funny when you find a site you like, the look on your face! The site is very well maintained. Very nice drone footage as well. Thankfully, we are getting rain and cooler temps here in BC also - help with the wildfires and smoke! It would be fun to camp every weekend, but my yard and housework would suffer from it!

That’s why I love our state. We can go to a State Forest gather firewood practice leave no trace and we’re free to do that. It’s hard for me to leave Minnesota and be fully satisfied, when all my fishing licenses and state park passes are all here and there’s so much to see and do. Nice job!! keep it up! Seems like you’re gaining momentum On here ,That’s pretty cool!!

Hi Kenny! We enjoy you taking the time to share your adventures with us and all the honesty. Don’t apologize for being you. You are so humble. That head hurt was a bad one so sorry. We owned a truck camper and know exactly how you feel. Keep on and until we see you next time on screen. Have a good week.

Do i ever get homesick when I watch your videos. I love northern MN (maybe not the mosquitoes & horse flies.) The loons, the lakes & the trees are all so beautiful. My family had a great cabin on Crosslake. I really miss fishing for walleye & northern!

The trick is to put a small hole in the bottom of the can. I stab it with the knife. Then it slides right out.

I had to chuckle at ya when you said it was 70 degrees out and humid.... Here in so cal that is a perfect summer day. ;). Sadly, for us normal temps this time of year is 104 - 120 degrees with monsoonal moisture in the air, but no rain

Another Great Vid! I really like a "certain" transition from scene to scene, that you have done in the past and in this video. You have done it when you open the shade in the morning, and in this one where you open the door. Nice job!

Hi Kenny, another great spot! It's confirmed by video........that lake had fish! You caught all three of them! LOL!!! The Spam with eggs was kind of a mainstay growing up. Switched to Treet......about the same in my book. Nothing more peaceful than a small thunderstorm in the woods. Your noise is common here......I just call them "night-hawks" That lake looked inviting to jump into.....we been rubbing the century mark here all week with humidity in the 60's. I've only ventured out long enough to water plants and throw a t-ball for my Goldens......not long though, my 13 year old male can't take it. Neither can I. They're talking 104 the next couple of days. Thanks for bringing us along Kenny, always enjoyable.

Dang, that's hot! Hopefully, you can lay low for the time being. As always Richard thank you for the support! I'm finally picking up tires for the truck. My fronts are down to 3/32nds. I got as much out of them as I could get. I'm gonna go with the BF Goodrich KO2. They've got some good reviews.

@@KennyOfAllTrades You are very welcome Kenny! I always feel like I'm right there with you in your videos. I camp vicariously through you! I know that bird kind of freaked you out a little. The one that always got me in the middle of the night was when a screech owl was doing it's call. Good move on the KO2's. I have seen nothing but good about them. I've always been a Michelin person but I've decided my next set will be the KO2's. I also watch a lot of Overlanding vids and the KO2's are the "go to" tires for everyone. My Michelins will age out before they wear out. I've got three more years to go.....I like to switch out at the six year mark. Looking forward to the next video Kenny....."Happy Trails To You"
