Crazy weekend of Racing at Thunderhill Raceway for the inaugural Western Shootout! Three days of racing and crazy weather. The Western shootout morphed into the weather shootout!! Race One - started in a heavy downpour with extremely poor visibility. Race Two - was shortened due to lighting strikes in the area. We were instructed to abandon impound, immediately there was a freak thunderstorm with high winds, hail, and heavy rains. This destroyed many awnings throughout the paddock including all our sister team's tents/easy ups and proceeded to fill our cars/cockpits up with hail and water. My car seat and gear spent the night in the hotel drying out.
Day 3 - the weekend ended on a high note, great work by the Bulldog Motorsport team, Jason, Chris, Damian, the team picked up inaugural Western Shootout - SFR SCCA Super Tour Championship Trophies in Prototype 1, Prototype 2, Formula Enterprise, SRF, and SRF Master's classes! And a big shoutout to all the volunteers of Sports Car Club of America - San Francisco Region who make these events possible. Enjoy ythe highlights- Till next time 🤙
