Some of the musicians are established and famous, others are among the brilliant budding talent that adorns Pakistan’s musical scene. Each of the mehfils has a distinct atmosphere and mood, but there is a common thread. We asked each of the musicians to stay close to their respective inherited musical traditions, allowing the singers an opportunity to present some pieces that are rarely heard today.

When I first heard Akbar Ali in Junoon( an India based reality show), I thought this guy has great potentials in semi classical and he needs to work on his vocal capabilities and I’d love to hear him in few years from now. He’s beyond my expectations now, the Harsh and soothing voice he’s developed is just going to live for centuries to come. Great love from Hong Kong.

Choro. Choro. Arey Choro. Kya wazahat. This is one of the finest performances of Akbar Ali and you won't hear such a rendition ever again in this era nor will you witness such a close resemblance between pure classical music of past and Akbari Ali's music. Pakistan must confer the highest civilian award on him and his ustad.

Mashala! Akbar Ali is one of Pakistan's most promising young Pakistani vocalists and, certainly, my favorite. An excellent thumri.

Akbar Ali is one of the finest young classical singers with such a sweet and melodious voice. He is more closer to his uncle Ustad Mubarak than his brother Jawed Bashir.

There is only one Akbar Ali. The most distinguished discipline of Ustad Mubarik Ali Khan shb. How proud would be his ustad to witness such brilliance.
Ever since I started listening to dream journey, my faith has reaffirmed that classical music won't die in Pakistan and south asia in general.

Have always believed that to be true. It has always been a sort of a niche audience which need not be compared to the larger numbers of pop listeners.
Janab Akbar Ali saheb is a very prominent,pure and clear note reciting classical and semi classical singer, His sarpat taans and the beauty of his voice texture is out of the world , what a wonderful presentation expressing wonderfully Raag Bhairavi

Despite his strong classical roots in Pakistan, Akbar didn’t gain recognition as a musical artist till his appearance in an Indian talent show, Junoon Kuch KarDikhane Ka.

One of the most under appreciated singer. He deserves loads of audience and larger coverage, the bad part is that we Pakistanis are limiting ourselves to pop and forgetting the real cultural music of subcontinent Hats off to Akbar
