My soul is fulfilled .And not to forget the masterful tabla .

An excellent rendition of the Aiman bandish composed originally by Mir Qutub Baksh (1770-1872) who was the principal musician in the court of the last mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar (1775-1862), who had given him the title of Tan Ras Khan. The Ustad is one of the most important figures in the history of the Delhi gharana. It is great to see Akbar sing not only the asthayi (Kinaray Kinaray Kinaray Kinaray Dariya Kashti Bandho Re) but also the original but relatively unknown manjha (Mauj Aaye Behr-E-Ulfat Mein Khizar). Curiously, he sings an antara (Khaiwan Haar Ki Laaj Tumhi Ho) from the Patiala gharana instead of the original antara (Is Qadar Meherbani Bekunay) of the Delhi gharana. Akbar is undoubtedly the most promising of young vocalists from Pakistan. This video is a great addition to the wonderful music being archived by the lovely folks at the Dream Journey.

When I first started listening to classical music, I would shudder at the mention of Yaman. 80% of evening concerts would start off with Yaman. After 15 years, I am older and now I think I appreciate more and more the joy of Yaman. This rendition brings back the freshness of those of those first encounters. Bahut shukriya.

Akbar Ali ji is an incredibly talented singer! He is simply brilliant. Akbar Ali ji has such a sweet voice, and is hard to find one like him. He reminds me of young Ustad Rashid Khan.

Beautifully sung indeed. This bandish I remember hearing in my adolescent days for the first time from Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.

Akbar Ali is a great singer, extremely nice god-gifted voice. He should be elevated to Kha Sb. He is proficient in many Gharanas, scales and deliveries. regards from a Bangladeshi.

Akbar Ali ne iss purani bandish ko bahut sundarta se gaya hai .....magar inko ek suggestion hai ....harmonium saamney nahin hona chahiye aur ek adad sureela live taanpura bhi istemaal karein ......Dream Journey ka shukriya .
