this is insanely good for a 2016 game. Being listed as Horror and Rhythm Violence is the most unique type of game I've ever heard

to be honest its crazy to think that the music tells you EXACTLY whats gonna happen and you mimick it since each obstacle has its own unique sound effect, but at the same time its so non-challant, nad fits so well with the music you dont really think of it

Ngl 3:01:09 gave me goosebumps, seeing the armor break and the thought of dying brought things back to reality. Everything was comfortable until something goes wrong and the game really lets you feel that mistake. Really shows how easily things can go wrong and how high the stakes are.

Funny how the 'training' sentry rings at the start of level 5 are the most difficult you seem to face in that level. Took about 10 restarts to get past them, but rest of the level was pretty straightforward.

you can take damage a bunch and still get an S rank. The S-ranks are set as the score you'd get if don't miss anything. Which means if you do *extra* stuff like Perfect Turns or thumping glowy beats, it puts your score over and then you can afford missing some stuff. (getting hit on it's own doesn't lower your rank, it just means you miss out on some score)

Dang, this is seriously insane, congrats, know I couldn’t have ever pulled half of this off! reflexes it takes to do these rhythm games is intense.

Just beat Level 6 today, after a few months of owning the game on Switch. I can't even imagine how my thumbs are gonna feel during Level 9.

The beginning of level 4 and that bug dance ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ perfection

I'm so glad I dropped this game somewhere at stage 5. I don't remember what I couldn't beat there, but... it's piece of candy compared to what comes next.

level 8 starts in relative panic. the beetle learns the tempo and halfway through is doing beats, comfortable with the tempo. isnt it crazy the levels have their own progression how we do??

Ironically, this game calms my anxiety.

To me it's more like Geodash meets Satan

2:57:15 9-25 is a good example of a drum beat changing midway through the level. its VERY noticeable, as it changes to the miniboss's theme halfway through. its almost like its making you realise "hey, im really far into this level. the bos must be close." and for most players, including myself, that's terrifying.

Tbh when I heard this was a horror rhythm game with no story, I kinda scoffed. I'm all about that psychological horror with a compelling story and characters etc so I found it hard to imagine a game like this, and doubted itd make me uneasy in the slightest. I was WRONG man that boss from level 8 is the stuff of nightmares. I might have to play this myself sometime, it's so overwhelmingly beautiful and violent, I'm intrigued.

It makes missing a beat an actual threat. Miss one, it'll rain down lasers on you, and you can't do anything to avoid it, other than not miss a beat in the first place.

It's in a 3/4 time signature, which is considered waltz time, though 3/8 is also considered waltz time. You might want to look into modern songs using waltz time if it's the rhythm in general that you enjoy.

My interpretation is that you play as Ra, traveling the underworld, and that the screaming face thing is Apophis, the God of chaos
