    Thank You so much! I had pain on my left thumb area after exercising which caused extreme discomfort when clenching it, or pulling the clutch on my motorcycle. This truly helped! Right after putting on the tape i can clench with no discomfort! Will try out the warm water technique! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    I absolutely love KT tape. Since this whole quarantine business I am unable to get my regular massages which necessary for me to function as a delivery driver. This is as close to a relief as I can get for my muscle and nerve pain.

    This was great, very helpful! I currently have my wrist taped for some carpal tunnel pain that was aggravated from weight training. Am I able to do this application over the pre-existing tape? Can I get maximum therapeutic affect if taping for two areas or is it best to concentrate on one area at a time/alternate? Do you recommend a different application of tape to address both areas? Thank you so much for sharing this video. Pain can prevent us from doing so many every day things. I wish that more people knew how amazing kinesiology tape can be as a part of treating pain and injury. There could be far fewer people resorting to the use of pharmacological methods to find relief.

    I just found your channel and absolutely love your videos! I have Arthritis and generell issues with stiff muscles, tension etc. Doesn't really help that I play guitar. Movement should actually help with that and ease the pain etc. but it actually gets worse most of the time so I'll definetly give a bunch of different taping ways a shot this year. Mostly for my fingers and thumb, and maybe the elbow or whatever because I sometimes get a tennis elbow after a lot of guitar.

    Unfortunately does not work for me. 3 years ago I broke my thumb at my CMC joint. I was playing with my dog outside and threw a dog toy and I hit metal clothes line pole. Sounded like a church bell going off. Had surgery and pin put in and removed and my thumb still bothers me to this day 😑. Dumbest thing I ever did

    I'm having trouble getting the tape to stay on my palm it'll stay for a tiny bit but the start to come off even after making sure to rub it and area clean from oil and lotions, do you have any tricks for me to use to help the tape stick better on my palm?

    Missy Benton personally, my thumb brace from the doc is more aggravating than not having any support. I’ve turned to the kinesio taping and finding much better support and relief! My experience, humble opinion.

    Hi, just wondering if you're suggesting applying trigger point therapy while there is acute inflammation and swelling? I have been led to believe this was not a good idea...

  • @NorthernSoul

    @NorthernSoul

    6 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for the question. Anything acute/ swelling you will be applying the principles of first aid. R.I.C.E Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. Applying trigger point therapy and heat are for chronicly tight or spastic muscles and pain.

    Thanks for the video. I just want to ask, what's the difference of kinesiology tape using athletic tape? Thanks. More vids plsss :)

  • @NorthernSoul

    @NorthernSoul

    6 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for the comment! The difference with Kinesiology tape vs athletic tape, is Kinesio tape stretches lengthwise which allows for it's unique ability to increase circulation, reduce swelling, reduce perceived pain, offload muscle tissue, provide additional support but still allowing mobility. The athletic tape is used for stability of joints and does not stretch at all. These are used completely different. I only use Kinesiology tape because therapy is moving towards keeping mobility even during injury. I hope that helps!

    This was a great vid, great angel and information. How long do you keep the tape on for?

  • @NorthernSoul

    @NorthernSoul

    5 жыл бұрын

    Thank you! in a perfect world You'd leave it on for up to 7 days as long as it feels good and isn't too dirty or coming off / apart. More realistic depends on how you use your hands. I'd probably put a fresh tape on daily until I get that muscle healthy again

  • @NorthernSoul

    @NorthernSoul

    If it's a muscle issue from gripping activities then this tape should work, if it's due to overuse of the joint or arthritis than the other taping. When in doubt try both and see which actually feels better. you should notice relief right away, thanks!
