Several people asked for a more detailed shot of how the #strongarmpotterytool works. This tool is a 21st century update to the 19th century "Ball Opener" that production potters used for making crocks and jugs in large volume. Is the strong arm tool something that can be bought or better still, can it be made diy? My husband wants to throw clay on my pottery wheel; however, he’s been having issues with centering clay & not a great time making pulls. This might make it easier for him to be more involved. He was in a motorcycle wreck where a drunk driver caused permanent lifelong damage to his (dominant) right shoulder/arm. The surgeon did a great job with what he had to work with, still, it’s not been easy having to learn to do many things with his left hand/arm. The loss of strength & range of motion will never be what it was before.
