I know you're a busy guy but I wanted to give you an update. Last Saturday I was driving home in the afternoon and I was hit by a white car in my scooter. long story short my shoulder was broken on the left side which is my dominant side. So anyways the people who hit me are suing me even though it was obvious it was their fault number police video and my statement. Have you able to get the video off the cameras in the area but I was hit. I'd ask that you pray but I recover quickly because my dog but I just adopted about one month ago he doesn't understand why I'm not there and he's back with his old family which really means the outside. He has a nice dog tonight with dog beds he didn't have that before until I met him that he does have someone coming and giving him food and her shade for him but he's on a short little chain and whereas in my room he could walk around anywhere he likes. Please pray that my appointment goes well and the doctor says my arm can heal sooner and it's saying like 3 to 6 months and that's just I need to be able to use it it's not being able to walk him I don't really understand because I lock him with my right hand. you know my dog he knows I'm injured because when I went to visit him the second time he was more calm and gentle I know the way to stand so he doesn't hurt my left shoulder

I got to tell you he's got a really strong faith in Jesus. It's nice not having people crucify him. It's hard in California. I remember when people used to ask me what I do on Sunday I'd tell them I go to church before I could even finish they were ripping my throat out. After 20 years of being a Christian and being a self-supported missionary for 15 years but when I do talk with other westerners from Western countries it does make me nervous even though I'm American. I especially feel nervous if I'm talking to men but I've made some pretty hostile women too. It's sad because they think I am like I'm too traditional. I'm just a classical feminist this third generation of feminism is pretty creepy to be honest. If people gave me a chance they'd be surprised what God has done in Taiwan and how many had their life changing really big ways. Guys if you think Kent is a cool guy then please be willing to try to know other Christians. Christian doesn't mean you're perfect it just means that you need God in your life. It takes more courage to say that you're a broken person and you need God when it does to pretend that everything's okay.

I had my real taste of camp cooking more than 20 years ago! I have cooked in camps, but full kitchens and walk in coolers, gas stoves with sweltering heat as a topper. It wasn't until I moved to Northern Canada, met a cowboy from Quesnel, where my foray into this adventure began. Now, a father of two precocious and fearless (at times) young boys, I have introduced them to country cooking with Dutch ovens and BBQ here on Vancouver Island. Thank you for your recipes, humour, manners, skills and guidance as I educate my little country gentlemen on eating well and supplying for their future!

Kent, I've been a fan of yours since I first saw you on CBS Sunday Morning show. I was a boy scout leader and loved to teach the scouts how to cook outside. I have used many of you video's as inspiration. I've also turned several of my outdoor cooking buddies on to you. I know they are also subscribers. Seeing you on Throw Down was so much fun for me as I am also a big Bobby Flay fan. This was also my favorite Throw Down episode. I love when you introduced Birtha "she a good ole gal, she weighs about 385 pounds". Congratulations on getting to 2M subscribers. I have been there from the beginning and will be there to the end. P.S. Shannon was such an amazing addition to you cooking!

Mr. Rollins: I really enjoyed this video as I do all the others. At what point in your life did you start/want to get into cooking? Your folksy downhome manner is what I miss too as I grew up in Ohio. Your personality makes me often think about my Grandparents who were just as honest, unassuming and yet thankful for each days blessings as are you are in EACH video. I always enjoy ending each day by watching one random video of yours here on You Tube and always remember, it's not so much about the food on the plate but more so the people eating it.. Good health to you and may God's hands keep you safe.

Gordon Reiher All Bobby won on this challenge is a few lost pounds of water weight that he sweat out under the Texas sun. His assistant even said she only does cooking in air conditioned kitchens. They all probably deeply regret trying to Throwdown with Kent. I mean, it was just flour, salt, pepper and arbol chile right???? LOL.

He tends to cheat: in Vermont, going against Bove's Lasagna, he had out-of-state college students enamored and voting his way. He also pumped WAY more money into his recipe. That was a huge blow to the business, and the eatery eventually closed, the focus shifting to sauces and frozen foods. If Bobby had actual VERMONTERS test it, it would have gone to Bove's.

This is the third episode I've seen. Do they always pick the more traditional A over the more cooking school B? Is Bobby Flay sort of like the Washington Generals of cooking, meant to lose to make the other guy look good? Either way if I ever go to Texas again I will definitely look for a chuck wagon fried steak like this.

I think so. He and the show would look kind of arrogant if they went into little towns across the US and beat the local guy who specializes in making his region's known dish. Bobby is a good sport for participating in this show at all. He's kinda in a lose, lose situation.
