    After watching your video I pulled my Porter Cable dovetail jig off the shelf, blew the dust off it and tried cutting a few dovetails. I’ve had it for quite a while but never used it. To my amazement they turned out just about perfect. Thank you for your very informative video. 😊

    Anything on the Leigh RT400J for half blind dovetails? I have 5/4 walnut, that I have left 1/2 inch for the half blind dovetail (for the drawer front)

    As a novice who inherited my dad's tools, including a dovetail jig im trying to figure out, thanks SO much. You should think about starting a woodworking class or school. Your woodworking is great but a lot of guys dont have that and teaching skills, which is a totally different skill. You have both. Just thought you should know

    Thank you for your step by step tutorial of this jig. I bought the jig and found the instruction manual to be poor. I've been burning up material trying to figure it out, even using other you-tube videos and have gotten absolutely nowhere. You, on the other hand, explained everything thoroughly and actually showed how easy it can be. I hope you have some young kids you are teaching the trade to. You are a VERY good teacher!

I have instructed wood working classes before. I love to teach.     I have owned this jig for several years, after several attempts I could not get the pins and tails even close to alignment. So it sat on the shelf for years collecting dust, After watching this tutorial, I finally made my first dovetail box. Thank you for sharing this video. On another note: i will never purchase another Porter Cable product in my lifetime. Worst customer service I have ever experienced,!

    I just purchased this jig and watched your unboxing and this video and found them to be very informative. I even took some notes as to how to place boards int jig and such.     You are the only vid I’ve seen that correctly states to set your dovetail bit depth to the thickness of your tail boards. I can’t figure out how a factory set depth guide would ever account for board thickness like those other vids suggest. You also are the only one who has advised how to creep up on a tight joint by adjusting your pins. No soup sandwich here, you got that straight and I commend you for no BS!!!

    Thanks Tracy for the informative information. I'm working my way through the steps to being able to make boxes using the Porter Cable Jig. Started with another manufactures Jig and was not real happy with the results and made the move to the Porter Cable after watching your videos. With the help of your videos I feel I can confidently move on and be successful. Again thanks for the great videos.

    Great directional video!! I have made a few coasters learning this jig. The black stopper brackets i found out the hard way. when doing the small dovetails i had to change the black brackets for the gray ones. The layout is absolutely most important. ty again great video your a pro!

    Great overview of this jig. I have had one for a while and am just getting around to using it. I like how you went through making a whole box. Most videos only show one corner. Most projects have more than one corner.
