It says its a "Goblin Hewer" It never specifies which one. Clearly it was made to kill specifically Grom the Paunch.
The Goblin Hewer seems to suffer the same curse as all the other things Malakai has namned. He namned a ship ”Unsinkable” which sunk. An airship ”Undestructable” which got destroyed and now he has the Goblin Hewer which excels against large targets…

On my KZread homepage the visible title was "Multiplayer Anal" with the rest of the letters obscured by the time stamp. I thought it meant the video was mostly Slaanesh, with maybe a little Morathi for variety...

Please CA keep this level of quality for the rest of your DLC's, Empire and Dwarfs feel like really scary factions now.
Correction with the directional missile block attribute. It only counts for the base missile block chance. I.e. if you have 70% block chance from the gold shield in the armour stat bar, it will be 100% of that 70%
Hey turin, here is a little tip you might find helpful when you are unit testing. If you don't want the enemy lord to get involved in the fight give them a flying lord and use your flying units to keep them off the ground while you test the units on the ground.

Hey Turin. Just a thought for domination against factions that do not excel in ranged. Tamurkan on foot, Chaos War Shrine/Hero on one, one Bile Troll and one marauder on a point. Second point, whatever works for you to hold. Marauders have substantial more models and will burst up the passive on the shrine when dying. Tamurkan will chunk anything big, shrine will stream of corruption all Infantry. The trolls are generalists so they are ready for all. They will regenerate from the beginning, until the shrine scales up. Plus the mele def aoe will get more casualties for the shrine. When reinforcing, you got nurglings and Pestigors from vanguard. Nurglings usually die off but they have like 45 models on ultra or something like that, so the regen on them works incredibly well. Also the problem with them getting bursted and then gettin disintegrated won't work since the leadership is now so high thanks to the shrine buff. Pestigors got high hp per model but you would bring them in for ap, cap weight and the spread of tears. And at the end of this, if the Trolls are still there, now the leadership buff from the shrine, along with the stacked regen will make them almost impossible to uproot. Conclusion. You hold 2 points. You prosper. LET THE NURGLINGS FEAST!!!!
I have the Goblinhewer tabletop model for 7th edition Warhammer Fantasy. If I recall correctly it did 1d6 S4 attack per rank of the target. So it was definitely anti-infantry. I also have some Doomseeker models from my 7th edition army. Great models.

That's slightly off, if it hit (and you only rolled once) it did D3 hits per rank of the target. Also both the Hewer and Doomseekers were from 6th edition, but they were both so late in it that nobody's going to fault you for thinking it was 7th.
Some big questions that weren't answered during the stream: do Tears of Nurgle from Pestigors spread to non-fleeing units after they're triggered by a fleeing unit? This is important because Tears of Nurgle is going to build up the army ability, which makes Pestigors better than they already are, and draining the entire front line of vigour is also very big. Does Alith Anar's artillery bow ignore the missile block chance of the Steam Tank? I'd asked in a super chat but it was unfortunately missed. As far as I'm aware, Alith Anar has the only unblockable bow in the game, it ignores shields entirely, it gains a damage to war machines such as chariots (unless they patched it out since I last looked), and I was curious if the Steam Tank could block his otherwise unblockable bow. Does Shieldbreaker lower the tank's missile block chance? Does Elspeth's laser make good contact on flying wyverns/manticores? They're probably going to be used a lot against her. How well do Dwarf Doomseekers hold up against Death Runners? Those are still a problem for the Dwarfs and it would be nice if they had one unit to scare them away. Does the Wonder of the Age have Terror? Regular Land Ships don't, but in the first land battle game it looked like it Terror routed the Marauder Horsemen. My only real complaints are that I really don't like what they did with Brimstone guns, those new ones are just terrible, though Pestigors do have scaly skin (missile resist) so hopefully their damage is better than it really looks. It also feels weird seeing the Goblin Hewer work on SEM's since the tabletop version is very definitely anti-infantry, but I guess this one does that job just fine. For whatever reason it looked like the Outriders did less damage than War Wagons, maybe it was the angle or shooting the edge of the formation. I am glad the Rotbeasts don't just dunk on Skullcrushers. The Skullcrushers crushed them on the tabletop, however Rotbeasts cost less, so they made up for it that way.

The brimstone gyros are really sad. They somehow made them worse than before, maybe they were being overly careful with the damage since they increased the unit count so much

The Wonder of the Age does have Terror on its unit card.
I sort of like the Thunderbarge being a world destroyer but leaving you with only a small supporting force giving the opponent the option of killing everything else and having it rout off the field. In land battle they can spread out, surround and kill all the land units. In Domination they can capture all the points and ignore it (pretty much like all Dwarf lords. The only issues I see are the cost (up it to 5k) and the speed boost being spammable. If the Dwarfs no longer can play both tall and wide it should help balance it for mp.

The gyrocopter test kinda makes me wish the pre-patch brimstone gun gyros were kept/re-added as an RoR (I guess the grudge settler Trollhammer Gyro is basically that) ; similarly I think the Skyhammer is more interesting as a single entity rather getting the same entity increase as regular gyrobombers

Yep, i really liked the single entity gyrobomber since you didn't lose entire entities to random crap like with the gyrocopters. Plus they were fantastic to snipe anything single entity or artllery while they approached your corner camp.
As a drawf player I’m so ready for this expansion. May the thunder barge bring death to those with grudges!!
Hi, I saw most of the dwarf testing against factions, they don't have trouble with. I would like to see how their new stuff fares against skaven or dark elves or empire, who gave them the most trouble in the past. I mean their problem are not melee factions, but the fast ones or those who have good range too. That the thunderbarge can destroy an army when its not opposed is obvious. But how does it hold its own against dragons, flyers, skaven ranged or else. 2800 invested and seen it just shot out of the air by jezzails or sisters of averlon. How do the dwarfs react to that? Love you're content Turin, but can you show some testing, wich are more challenging for the dwarfs?
How does Missile mirror interact with the thunderbarge?
I think they should not change elspeths breath attack. It is (unless you can really position yourself good) shit against infantry and it only is good against big single entities. It should be, it is a beam of death magic. You should not want to get targeted by such a strong beam of pure death. Otherwise it becomes worse against infantry than a high elf dragon, and bad against single entities as well.
Oh god the slayer artillery reminds me of the modded battle extraveganza you had a while ago why the unsuspecting manticore charged the organ gun(?) and the slayer crew obliterated it. The flying carpets man... it was worse than 'nam.

Doomseekers have 280 health per model! Will definitely mow through chaff. That Barge is insane... can't wait to see what they change about it xD

Even for campaign the thunderbarge is cancer. Have to autoresolve battles against dwarves to beat it and dwarves have the best auto resolve

Against ranged armies I don't think it will be an issue. Melee-heavy factions on the other hand... poor Slaanesh...

@@KorsAir1987 It is an issue against ranged armies too. Saw cathay get destroyed by it even with focus fire because dwarven arty gets buffs from the master engineer. They had to choose to die to the barge or the bolt throwers
The dwarf grudge rakers have higher missile strength than blunderbusses and cost 50 less. Why CA?

In tabletop the Goblin Hewer did more damage the bigger the unit was, so not really 1:1 to how it works in game.

afterburner should not increase agility, thats fucking stupid. Personally, i think it would be better if afterburner was like 100% speed, 25% acceleration, and like 50% more dps. Also the goblin hewer is REALLY interesting, its only 100g more than normal slayers and you get the giant AXE SHOTGUN combined with most of a slayer unit

but you are countering a specialized as expensive as a full geared midtier lord; with 3 marauder axe throwers. no suprice they died; still the barge lost 70% hp. what if you bring 2500 gold off anti-air specific; isn't it screwed then? also dwarfs been weak for a long time, would be nice to see more off them
Not gonna lie, wyvern might be a more relevant unit for greenskins than most expect. Till now azhag was their only air unit.
I'd love to see a test of how much you need to kill the thunderbarge consistently. It is somewhat short ranged (at least the shotgunners) - two anti-large artillery, and a ranged firearms unit or two to keep them honest. Stuff that would be reasonable against any army. WoC, Khorne, VC would have problems, obviously. As for the test of goblin hewer... why, oh why, did you not test it against goblins?!?!?

Bats and furries to tie it up/force it away from the main fight long enough for their ground forces to sweep the dawi. Or at least deal a large blow. Just makes the anti flying spells better

@animewarrior3 Not much since thunder barge can still fire while in melee, and it has high enough weapon strength to beat 3 - 4 bat/furies stack by itself due to their low leadership

@@fruitloops1481 it Puts it at 75 max speed, it increases the DOT- per-distance-moved . Start that way, then tweak it. If you net it and focus fire it, it can go down. And if they don't want to nerf it, just ban it in MP. But right now, we still need to learn how to deal with it

Thunderbarge cannot be "fun" in SP either.

think thubderbarge just needs a rework. thunderers are fine, but bombs could just be an activated abillity you can use 3x, and front cannons need less ammo. get rid of speed ability and reduce its health to 8k and its probably balanced at 2800

Units in mp are rarely broken; Usually just improperly priced. Thunderbarge now costs 7500 gold. Problem solved.

Thats ridiculous. Funny, but ridiculous. Just remove the boost in MP. See how it sits. Or add it as an upgrade you can pay for that bumps it to 3400.
I dont think Thinderbarge needs many nerfs, just make thunderburner deal more damage to it, and make it move slower and ta da. Cause it HAS to be good, its like only thing dwarves have that is not straight up countered by any other faction.

One thought regarding the Thunderbarge. If it gets banned in various tourneys there should be 1 exception where you can take it. The Skaven. That fight has been so oppressive for so long its only fair.

It is a sad day when the long awaited Nurgle DLC adds useless, expensive units and a trash tier Legendary Lord for Nurgle itself. CA will not be getting my money on this one!

Factions without artillery are doomed and factions with artillery are also doomed because not only artillery is not enough, you can see the videos of Humanboy, artillery does not enough damage and misses when it goes fast and also artillery aiming the zeppeling means that is not shooting the dwarf artillery (that now has buffs and can outrange anything)

If you play dwarfs in quick battle you better hope it is banned from multiplayer or nerfed to like 4200 gold cost or you will never be allowed to play a game. Not a single soul will stay in a lobby against a dwarf player
