"Cause squirrels, you can never have too many squirrels." How true this statement is!

Devouring 5 is generally what I go for in most situations. It makes him a 25/25 which enough to kill with combat damage. The only time you'd really care about him being any bigger is if you have an extremely telegraphed Warstorm Surge etb to kill the whole table. Most of the time, there's really no need to devour more than five.

It's really nice to see a commander deck tech for a card printed so long ago. Especially after the past few sets where there's too many Legendary creatures to pay attention to. Nice list!

I know this is an older video but the card Bramble Sovereign is amazing in the 99. It is a 4 costed creature (2GG) and whenever you cast a creature you may pay 1G and put a token copy of it into play. This allows you to copy your token creating creatures, your damage dealing creatures like Terror of the Peaks and anything really.

Just started my MTG journey in September and Thromok was my choice as my first commander. Very excited to see how it goes

Sekki, Seasons’ Guide and Saproling Burst are great alternatives to Thromok for huge damage with Warstorm Surge effects. Sekki creates an infinite loop of infinite damage by dealing damage to itself on etb. This makes eight spirits that deal eight to opponents before being sacrificed to bring back Sekki and starting the loop again Saproling Burst can deal 21 damage on its own. With Parallel lives that goes up to 42 and Doubling Season brings the damage up to 182 Slate of Ancestry is a great repeatable draw effect for token decks in addition to Skullclamp and Idol of Oblivion

I would run him with alternative wincons like Warstorm surge, stalking vengeance, fling etc. Just in case he has no built in Evasion.

I like pest infestation. How do I build a manna base for this deck and would you use elemental mastery in this deck?
