Lulu, as a former dancer, I have to make another comment on this episode. I think it's great that you're going to a chiropractor. They can be wonderful at realigning points in the body that have moved out of their original optimum position. There are also simple things that you can do yourself to reset and maintain good posture and alignment. One of the easiest is just laying on the floor. I find a carpet or blanket makes a nice cushion, but the goal is to be able to lay comfortably without any pillows or other supports. This reminds the major joints (ankles, knees, hips and shoulders) how they should relate to each other. Arms lay open, palms facing up. Eventually, moving the arms farther out and up over your head helps to increase flexibility in the shoulders, where many of us need it. Just relaxing and breathing deeply for several minutes in this position, until all the tension leaves your body, can do wonders to reset good posture. Once in position, it helps to lift your chest slightly off the floor and then settle back down again. This brings the shoulder blades closer together which opens up the chest. If laying flat on the floor is just too painful at first, use pillows for support wherever needed so you can relax and breathe without discomfort, Eventually the goal is to remove them as your joints rediscover their proper relationship to each other. I hope this is helpful. Shared with love and benevolent intention.

@@5thdimension625 Yes... I didn't even get to the use of soft rubber balls placed under a joint for opening up and creating space within the joint itself. It's the same principle as large yoga balls, but to target individual joints. A genius technique for bringing flexibility back to stiff, sore hips. shoulders, back, etc.

I love my chiropractor and my massage therapist. They both have done more for me than my orthopedic surgeon and meds put together have done. It's all natural and they are both worth their weight in gold. I hope you love your experience as much.

The chiropractor will definitely help with your posture. I’ve heard you say you’ve lost 2 inches. It’s not because you’ve shrunk it’s because you’re upper back and neck are 2 inches forward. I hope he gives you exercises to do. They will make a difference.

It’s fun !! Your daughter wears those vintage clothes well . I see her choice in furniture is vintage. Love it !! Great bargains Lulu oh I know your having fun. Thanks for sharing Ps that ring that goes around your lamp holds a glass shade which the chimney pled through. If I explained that correctly. Lol

I’m seeing a physical therapist now . I had X-rays . I was limping , at 68 never before. It’s osteoarthritis and I’m feeling much better but active is key . Walking stretching and pushing my stomach down into table and squeezing a ball with legs , then pulling my legs over each other , many exercises that stretch out my limbs and he stretches me twist me like a Gumby . Not only helps my leg but my back too. Good luck it helps to learn how to stretch and exercise without hurting ourselves.

Once you are "aligned", you will be amazed at how good you feel! Stretch and drink lots of water as well ;) Love how everything is coming together! I LOVE THAT CHAIR AND LAMP! Lulu, good morning. I have a chiropractor I visit when my lumbar has issues. Also my sciatica nerve sometimes throws my back out. He helps me to gain mobility through ultrasound therapy, wet heat compresses, and manipulation of my back on special machines. A massage therapist Lso works with him, and she is amazing. I have never heard of anyone going to a chitopractor if they weren't in pain. Please be careful and use sound judgment. Our spine is very delicate. There are some very informative chiropractors on youtube. You may want to do some research. Thanks for uploading the video. Wish I lived near Missouri 😢

Hey Lulu as a person that's been seeing the same chiropractor for over 35 years I just wanted to say I only go to her when I'm having real difficulties with pain. Years ago she taught me a bunch of exercises that are Kundalini Yoga stretches and poses. I trust her implicitly because she gave me the tools to keep myself well beware of chiropractors that wants to get you on a maintenance schedule. Most people don't need that but it makes them a lot of money. I have had a couple chiropractors in my life tries to pull that scam on me. Get the evaluation and then get some exercises to do. It's necessary because of all the hours you spend driving. The house looks great I'm sure it won't take long before it's all Lulu's way. LOL

Those tiles are perfect for your dot art. Maybe they will be your room inspiration. I have heard of dot art. My son lives in NYC and went to a local artisan fair and bought me a beautiful piece of artwork that was all dots. The most amazing thing about the picture was that it was made by a man that is a quadriplegic. My son spent a few minutes talking to the artist. I can't imagine the time and effort he puts into each piece of art. Great video. I love your energy. Your daughters photoshoot was very cool and I love the trunk she found. Enjoy your new home.

I love thrifting too. Your daughter’s photos were beautiful. Vintage clothing is so fun. I have been to a chiropractor only once it was interesting and I learned a lot. I hope you have a good experience.

What a great way to start my Sunday morning off by having a Lulu video show up. Lovely pictures of your daughter. You really got some good finds at the thrift store. The art class sounds like a lot of fun. I am going to a chiropractor right now as I hurt my back trying to forcefully push my sliding glass door shut. Also my back was out of alignment before that. It is definitely helping me. What wonderful neighbours you have. Those veggies look yummy.

Hi Lulu, I’ve been to a fair amount of chiropractors in my life, and what I’d like to impart about those experiences is some were definitely better than others. If, as you say, this one is “intuitive” that sounds better than not. However, my conclusion is I’d recommend a Physical Therapist over a Chiropractor. For me, the gentler approach is better. I prefer the way a PT works with the muscles in order to coax bones and vertebrae back into place. A PT will also give one exercises to do on one’s own in order to keep muscles strong and balanced. Done on a consistent basis, this practice will keep the bones from becoming misaligned. My 2 cents. ❤

Picked up some great buys, Your room is coming together. If you have a tall water pitcher or something you can put the Swiss Chared (sp) in water so it will stay nice an fresh, trim off the bottoms a little and you can leave it on the counter since it won't stand in the fridge LOL

Your daughter is beautiful! She has a lovely glow about her and is the perfect model for the vintage dresses!! I’ve been to different chiropractors (I have scoliosis) and my favorite did deep pressure point massage and gentle “adjustment.” A skilled as well as intuitive chiropractor sounds awesome-looking forward to hearing how it goes. Great ReStore finds and progress on your room! 👍

So many great acquisitions today... where to start? Love the gorgeous furniture items your daughter picked out. Also your end tables. They look to be solid wood and well constructed, same with the closet cabinet. I'm sure they'll serve you very well. I'm a big fan of wingback chairs, too. I like the way they hug you when you lean back into them! Everything works well together, but I can see your room doesn't have that Lulu spark... yet! There are beautiful random tiles with ornate patterns that can be found at garage sales as leftover pieces from elaborate tiling jobs. Some are really gorgeous, and I like to stick small felt or rubbery feet on them and use them as coasters or trivets. The largest ones can even make great trays for lotions or make-up on a dresser. The feet prevent them from scratching the wood surface of the dresser. Happy ongoing shopping for your new home! And enjoy all that delicious produce. 🥰

Hi! Super glad you found the Dots class. Another tool in the tool belt to explore. Love your enthusiasm. Best of luck with the chiropractor. I found for my back that physical therapy worked best. But it took a few separate visits to find the one that worked for me. Ultimately I need to move more in specific ways and exercise. Surprise surprise. Also, check with your health plan to see if they have a Hinge Health contract. Its physical therapy at home using a device they send to you free to keep. Its a fabulous program. 😊

Lulu a suggestion to prevent scratching the end tables with the tiles, place some of those felt tabs you put on the bottom of furniture that prevents scratching hardwood flooring. The sell a variety pack of sizes at hardware stores. I imagine they wouldn't go to waste since you have wood floors. They make moving furniture easy to.

Hi Lulu - always look forward to your videos. Was waiting to see what you were finding for your new room. Maybe try dot art on your white tiles? I think your daughter's lovely trunk is a cedar chest - used to store blankets or as a hope chest of things a young woman accumulated for her future home. Hope you find your inspiration piece!

I love dot art! I find nice round flat stones and paint them black. Then I do various designs in all kinds of colors. Spray after dried with a clear gloss spray. These I leave on trails and a campsites as we travel all over the country for others to find and treasure. Brings me a lot of pleasure to create and imagine who might find them.

Dot art is a traditional Australia aboriginal style of art. You might like to check it out. There is an art gallery of Aboriginal art in my local suburb in Australia. In my opinion it’s very beautiful and interesting. ☺️
