You found some great things at that store. I go to my Goodwill store quite often, but I haven’t lately because I try not to have too many things in my home as you get older you don’t want to have to leave too much for others to deal with.😊

Once again, thank you. "Vintage shopping" is too expensive for quite a few people. However, Goodwill or Salvation Army or other very affordable shopping is well within most people's budget. Thank you, thank you, thank you :) Looking forward to that "dark cottage-core" idea of yours if you decide to do it :)

Great shirt. I enjoyed shopping with you. I especially like the background decor in the comfortable nook where you sit and talk to your viewers. Will you be showing us the entire room and talking about how you decorated it?

Cottagecore is so pretty...just not me at all, but i enjoyed the video anyway...I always do!

The plates with the metal trim are not microwaveable safe, btw. I don't know how many cottages come standard with microwave ovens, but just in case you're not baking your own bread this evening or whatever. I recall when my friend's mom first got into the whole mason jar thing and I was completely bewildered because she kept trying to turn the house into the baskets headquarters and such when I thought the whole point of living in LA was being a surfer or something... Ah, memories........

Also, I'm not sure how many of them actually MAKE their own clothes. I recall his mom bought material for kitchen curtains for a small window one time and all that... story for another day perhaps. Not especially "cottagy" design, tho. Staying ON THEME is important.

You should MAKE room for the picnic basket, probably. I have one of those magazine racks here but I don't find it as useful as I'd like because it's kind of a clutter piece that doesn't hold anywhere near as many catalogues as I get sent that I can hardly go thru in a month of whatever. It doesn't take up TOO MUCH space, but I don't collect magazines so I have little real use for it.

Yes, you still like more overlap with your cottage and your academia, that some of these things I would agree are more the LATTER [at least more than some of the previous items in a vid or something]. Like some of the tea sets and dishware, anyway, whereas baskets are obviously country farm along with flour containers decoraty and such. Academia would prefer to hide that stuff in the shelves with the cabinet doors, right? Metal decoratys and ornaments I'm gonna say more urban a bit. [Um, except when they has old metal contraption kinda stuff around, like the well pump and such. That's more stuff that WAS functional necessity once more than added for flair and all that. I mean REAL 1800s, which ye don't find at thrift stores but those pricy places ye mentioned...]

Oh, but also I wanted t' mention the straw chairs that were common that likely don't show up at thrift place but also maybe the antique place. But just one for the corner opposite the rocker, maybe, because I don't know how much can SIT in them before they give way?

I have one Cottage room in the house; the former nursery decorated in a Peter Rabbit theme. It has to stay; the mural created by an artist friend is too gorgeous to paint over. The BBC 1992 adaptation is beautiful, especially the opening and closing scenes in the cottage.

Saw half a dozen things I would have picked up. Then realized we're not in the same state. ☹
