I don’t have a sewing machine. I will hand sew the tunnel and put a ribbon thru instead of elastic! Thanks

If you have a dress that doesn't have buttons on the front, do you cut down the middle of the dress to be able to insert the elastic band?

no need! as long as the skirt portion is wider then your actual waist and the elastic band is snug to the waist, the fabric will collect and scrunch so you can pull it on and off.

try hand sewing the same steps. it'll just take longer
