You can use fine sandpaper to the chip on the glass and it will be fine. I did the same thing bought one and didn't check. Took it home sanded it down and it works just fine.

Love the little Wedgewood creamer! You could use it as a personal gravy boat on your holiday or daily table! Don’t give up on the glass container. As long as it holds a good seal, use a file or sandpaper to sand off the sharp edges. I learned this from doing stained glass.

Love your hauls. The glass container you can have your husband grind it down smooth. I've done it a few times.

The basket is a cut flower holder for fresh flowers. but could be an infant seat without the padding. I could use it for a shoe holder by the back door. to put shoes when you come in or put house slippers in if you change your shoes. I use a boot tray.but a smaller basket for slippers and extra socks

You are 100% right about the importance of prepping food. If it's ready and available you will choose it versus something quick and unhealthy. I really like the blue ornaments. If you don't use them on a tree you can put them in a pretty container for decoration. You could add some sprigs of greenery and clear battery operated lights. Gorgeous!

I found your little Fitz And Floyd hen on eBay. It is a flower frog. It had already sold but I couldn’t find how much it went for. I think you really found a treasure! So cute!

Great haul! On your glass containers that are chipped take one of those sanding sponges or a nail buffer or even a fingernail file and sand your chipped areas that are sharp. Buff them real good until there are no more sharp edges. They will buff smooth when you run your finger over them. I have done this with many glass things. Even some crystal wine glasses that get a chip on the mouth area. It's worth a try before you throw them away. I'm sure it will work.

For your smoothie, try adding yogurt and orange juice or another juice you like.

I love that little chicken. 🙂 I've seen little chickens like that that came with individual measuring spoons, as a set, in those holes. Usually there's at least one of the spoons missing by the time it makes it to the thrift store. That might be what that chicken was meant for, but I could be wrong. I love it just as it is! Great find on the chicken F&F,. Typically F&F pieces are chipped. I would use the chicken as a flower frog. Also, have used flax seed powder instead of flax seeds. That's what I use in my smoothies and oatmeal .

Take a piece of sand paper, and sand the chipped place on your bowl. You can smooth it so you dont cut your self.

You put baking measuring spoons in the insert. I have one and I have my mother’s measuring spoons that are over 50 years old.

Don’t throw away that glass storage wet a coarse fingernail file and wet file that chip on edges till smoothed out. Then keep it. Love that chicken and the creamer sooo adorable!

You can use a emery board and oil and smooth the sharp edges so you do not have to throw it out.

Hi Julie, my suggestion for you is to use a piece of sandpaper to smooth out the sharp edges of the glass container. It has worked for me before.

Julie, don't throw out that glass container quite yet. Try sanding that broken area. Also if you happen to have a thing that you can smooth out a knick in crystal, use that. An emery board might also help get the edges smooth down. Good Luck.

HaHa 😄 I am using my mom's old Sunbeam blender from the 70's and I also have that same Corelle pattern on some of my dishes! (I have a mixture of THREE older patterns) ... in addition. "Alana" is my oldest daughter's name. AND we both ❤️ Julie & her channel!!! Kindred Spirits I guess. 😊

My dad always decorated the Christmas tree with blue lights and balls. It looks really classy to me. This was in the 70's so quite a while ago.

The basket is called a stair basket. They sit flat on your stairs and you put stuff in them that belongs upstairs and then once you go, you grab the basket and carry it all by making only one trip.

You put that basket at the bottom of your stairs to put things in to take upstairs

Julie!! Just use a fine grit sandpaper and smooth the chip!

Julie you may be able to save the chipped divided glass food saver. Take an Emory board file and run it carefully back and forth along the chip. It may take a bit but it will smooth off the sharpness of the chip. Good luck. 😊

That is a flower frog (chicken)...so cute. Love the creamer. I need to be drinking smoothies. I eat a lot of vegetables, I love them, fruit is not my favorite thing, except grapes...love grapes, and eat them often. Thanks for taking us along Julie...enjoyed it as always.

At our Goodwill and other Thrift Stores, you are allowed to return unwanted or damaged items within 7 days with the receipt and receive Store Card like a gift card toward your next purchase anytime and any Goodwill. I Love those containers. I find them at Ross for less than regular stores. That little Brass (or Copper) watering can...Oh my, I have been looking for one for a long time. My Daughter and Family gifted me a Ninja last Christmas. I tell you, I have never had so many Smoothies in my life😁. Love the little chicken frog. I would have picked up the bright colored glass birds just because I love birds. I think the storage shelf will be a great help with packages of dry mixes. I like smoothies so I will have to get some supplies for them. Thanks Julie.

Julie, get some emory cloth, you can smooth chips in glass with it!! All isn’t lost with your glass container!! 😃

My daughter gets Young Living. She drinks the ones she gets everyday. We also drink several ozs of ASEA every day. It has helped me so much. Not advertising for them just saying healthy is the way to go. I love avocado lava smoothie. Kale, spinach, pinapple, avacado, banana, coconut milk and anything else you want to put in it. Use an Emory board or small piece of sandpaper on that chip in your refrigerator dish, to smooth out the sharp edges, and it will be just fine to use for years.

Don't throw the glass container away!!! You can fill in the chip with epoxy glue. Then you can use it as a storage unit for non food items.

@@ThrilledThrifter oh yeah... you have to build it up and let it dry in between applications. You could also try loctite repair putty. If you have ever had acrylic nails, it's kinda the same method. Hopefully this will help you understand what I mean.

I would have used the white basket as like a charcuterie board/tray with strawberry short cakes and blue berries in it for the the Fourth of July or Memorial Day. Red white and blue ❤

On the glass container, try to use some sandpaper to sand down that crack. The same thing has happened to me and the sandpaper really does help smooth out the sharp points. Worth a try!

Julie, I was so hoping that you got the mini shoe she travel kit...it had a small shoe shine brush and 2 2 tins of shoe polish that would look awesome in your wooden shelf in the bathroom. Great finds! I really fell for the chicken flower frog ❣

I certainly thought about it for that spot but I wasn’t in the mood to hunt someone for a price lol.

Maybe you can use the glass container in a drawer as organizer where it won't be handled so won't be an injury risk.

my dollar tree has no sugar added orange juice I add to my smoothies... adds good flavor. Also I buy big container of organic spinach to steam then place on baking sheet in freezer... it can be broken up like peanut brittle as much as you want from freezer bag.

I have bought men's Oxford shirts that are plaids and used them for baby quilts. They are cotton & come in a range of colors. I am sharing that because perhaps you could do your Christmas stockings with lots of plaids.Cut in squares put together & then cut out the stocking fronts from that & use felt or plain fabric for the backs. Trim the girl ones with lace or eyelet trim & ric-rack or braid for the guys stocking. They will be coordinating but not identical

On the glass chip, put super glue or clear fingernail Polish to take the roughness off and still use it.

Use it for makeup brushes ( the little chicken)!

Don't throw out the dish, use a piece of Emery board to file the chip smooth. 💖🇨🇦

take a metal nail file and go over that chip . it will make it smooth again . take your time and go over it a few times till is soft and smooth.

Take an emory board and file the glass chip to take the edges off. Makes it smooth.

I am an avid thrifter of things I love. I don’t resell either. I appreciate that you only pick up the items you love and will use and leave the rest even if it is considered “valuable”. I’ve noticed as reselling is getting more and more popular there are less options for people who are thrifting for our home, children and just personal use. It’s really sad. Looks like you have some pretty good luck still in your area though. I can’t say the same for the east coast 😢

Blue is a favorite for me for Christmas!....Many years ago we had blue netting lights on our front hedges. It was so pretty have yet to find any since...I have multi-colored ones now

you could maybe also use the little chicken for a pen/pencil holder in kitchen or on desk....and I completely am bummed for you about the glass storage container. In my 40+ yrs of thrifting I have brought things home and realized something had a chip or was missing a piece...

Hi Julie I like your video of the of the Goodwill Thrift Shop that container with a divider you don't have to throw it away take a nail file and file the broken area because it's just the rim where the lid goes and you could save it and still use it and you will not cut yourself I done it and it works and you can save the $3 you spent on that and and not feel like you lost $3 try it

Got to go to goodwill yesterday it's been awhile. I got 2 phalscraft bowls and an anchor hocking jar with a lid and my husband got what I 'd call a fishbowl and to plant some flowers in.
