Those flowers are definitely Peonies! I love them! My grandparents had a whole garden full of them in different colors!

They are Peonies in the picture, they don't look like that until they've bloomed fully.

I think the flowers in the painting is Peonies. I love that painting

I seen a hack with paintings they use a product can't remember what it was and go over the painting with brush strokes. Really cool.

Wow!

I line my sink with tinfoil pour in boiling water half cup salt and half cup baking soda and soak...works wonders for my silver...also love love love the picture of the flowers and yes I would have bought the pictures of the birds..happy new year!

I'm always picking up silver plate trays, love them. Love the painting also, love everything.

Short Stories of De Maupassant!!! The Necklace is a great story!! I wrote a paper on him for World Lit in college! I would have snatched that book up, quick and in a hurry!

I used to have a little shelf like the one you bought. I had tea cups on mine in front and the matching saucers behind the rail behind them.

That painting was BEAUTIFUL! There was a set of bird paintings in round gold frames I would've snatched up in a minute. I LOVE that vintage look.Btw I've never been on a quicky thrifting trip. I'm not sure one has ever existed. I usually send my husband to sit on the benches in front of the store to wait. Happy New Year Lindsey. Let's hope it's a better one than last year.

Awesome silver finds! I love the old tarnished look myself but agree with you on the spots. You can buy a silver cleaner most anywhere. I got mine at Wal-Mart.

I am collecting items to make a wreath from a silver tray. I love the idea of turning the shelf over like that and layering trays in the back and other stuff in the front. It would be awesome.

Are there little bumble bees in that flower picture? I have one that looks very similar. I found mine about 15 years ago at a Goodwill for 3.50. It is in our bedroom. One of my favorite finds ever.

The picture is beautiful my mother in law had those flowers in her yard they smell so good and I also remember ants were attracted to them.What a great price. I love your videos thank you for sharing with us.

Try KETCHUP to clean silver and brass and leave on for a few mins and wipe off ...love ,love ,love the picture peonies are my favorite flower ..go to dollar tree to get your peonies .I bought some from there and they are really pretty...awesome haul hun 👍👍👍

Enjoyed going thrifting with u. I like to see things that I actually have in my home. I have the vintage wooden ironing board that was my moms, it has to b 70 years old at least & it’s the only one I’ve ever used. Our goodwills are small & never have much do it’s nice to see all that’s in yours. Thanks for the tour.

The canisters are cheaper than they were in the 70’s, and that’s not the largest. The picture frames were great. I use the cutting boards. Disinfect with bleach, yes bleach. Sand, polish with food grade mineral oil.

I do too, Minda! I usually wash them a couple of times, let them dry really good, then sand and condition them..... I'm a firm believer in bleach killing all germs!

I love the little paintings and small cutting boards. I use both for decor and do not use the cutting boards for food. Mine never has either. The handled silver platter is real silver. Rogers is a well known make of silver for a very long time. I hope you can clean it up and enjoy it for many years.

I would have picked up the 2 little gingerbread girls. I collect gingerbread boys and girls. Love watching you thrift at Goodwill. Our Goodwills never have that much on the shelves. TFS.

I clean my silver with lemon juice and a soft cloth but you may need toothpaste or an abrasive silver cleaner if the lemon doesn’t move the white patches which look like calcium deposits. The peony painting is gorgeous and professionally framed too, what a great haul you got

I’ve picked up several things for fall that were super inexpensive. I am always looking for fall decor cause it’s my fave!

The flowers in the picture look like Peonies. :) I think you should try cleaning the silver with Tarnex or some such silver cleaner then just give it time and it will re tarnish. I think real silver tarnishes quite quickly if left to sit out and not polished regularly. Great video!

I am glad you found the Wexford canister! I recognized it because both you and Jamie from Bored or Bananas collect them. I knew you would pick the one that was$2.99😄 My favourite short story of all time is The Necklace by De Maupassant. That story, and The Gift of the Magi by O Henry had a profound effect on me when I was young. I would have definitely picked up that navy-coloured book of DeMaupassant stories.

Great haul. That small Wexford piece would have been good for toothpicks. I was practically drooling in the Christmas section...my huge downfall...loved the gingerbread stocking holders.

Hello again! For the shelf, I also would turn it upside down, affix to the wall and lean the tray (on the top) against the wall. Then I would get a silver tea set, put the put, sugar and creamer on the shelf, add ‘S’ hooks to the bar and hang pretty teacups on the hooks. Maybe put the matching saucers up with the tray to tie in the porcelain cups. Add a lovely tea towel or doily to the back towel bar! Great find!

The little brown crocs that you’re collecting when I was first married over 50 years ago cheddar cheese spread, came in them at the grocery store. I guess I am an antique to. 😂😂😂 I collected them as well way back then and it was back in the 60s

Your a girl after my own heart. I’m new to your youtube 🎉 I’m constantly moving my stuff too. Your thrifts are always amazing. I so enjoy your channel ❤❤❤

I also look at tablecloths when looking for new curtains for kitchen, bedroom or bathroom. So easy to cut into two to four pieces... sew up cut side of material then add a top hem...new curtains! Large quilted pillow shams make sweet cafe style curtains too, cut away backside, add a tea towel or any plain material for lining... hold up vertical, fold over top and sew to make a ruffle or just do a straight hem across. Very pretty.

That picture was pretty. But its beautiful away from all the other things. You really scored on it.

As a Canadian I love your accent. I miss coming to the USA every year on holiday. Our Thift stores are very overpriced and we loved shopping in the US. Maybe next year and good luck to you and you all.

Hi Julie, love your program. I like op shopping as it’s called here in Australia. Wish we had op shops with the variety and prices that are available where you live. The clear glass jar you were going to use for honey is a sugar shaker should shake out about one teaspoon of sugar then tip upright again and another one comes. They were popular n cafes in the sixties and seventies.

If your silver tray has a base metal of brass or other metal, those spots may be corrosion. Try Brasso or for the corroded area try bicarbonate soda and a bit of water and rub gently as soda can scratch the surface. You could even lightly rub some barkeepers friend on the spots.

Hello!! I would have picked up the vintage plastic candelabra. I bought one on Etsy and the seller replaced the clear bulbs with vintage bubble lights!! Oh my is it wonderful!!

There is silver cleaner in the grocery store. I can’t remember the name of it but it’s a paste and has a sponge. It’s great and works well. I agree with you. I believe the shelf is for plates.

Breadboard can be made into a little hanging shelf-just add a shelf at bottom and hanger on back. The silver tray would look beautiful with metal feet and used at Christmas with greenery and candles! ❤️
