I have seen when you wear a sweater over the shoulder bring the sleeves around front and roll the cuffs into each other like you roll socks and that will keep the sweater on and it looks great! Good job on the video! I am a grandma, wish I was a coastal grandma.... lol I do like that nautical style! It's so classic.

Since the new year I’ve thrifted a bunch of things including - high waist express soft trousers & Bebe bustier linen pants & a breezy button down to wear w my crop tops so I can feel like I’m put together when I don’t want to bother trying. some vintage 90s sundresses Satin corset top A Levi’s denim maxi skirt Y2k tanks Baby blue mesh slip dress Black Y2k ballet core shrugs tiered ruffle black boho maxi skirt An obi leather belt and ruffled white linen shorts kind of similar to yours.

I have that St John's Bay blue cable sweater, thrifted a year ago. I wear it with jeans and just French tuck off center.

I thought that dress was very cute as it is. I think the length looks perfect and very proportional. And it may not feel short if you are used to Shorter dresses but it really is a short dress as it is

Hey Mallory, I would like to move to NY within the next few years for college, would you say its worth it price wise? i.e renting apartments, thrifting, basic groceries?

Hi! I think it depends on your financial situation before ie student loans/other expenses. Definitely need to save- you’ll need first and last months rent to get an apt here unless you sublet! I talk more about it in my apartment vids if you want to check it out :) I make a decent amount of money but wish I was saving more

If you are basing coastal grandma on Diane Keaton’s character in Something’s Gotta Give then most everyone is missing the point. I saw this movie when it first came out and have seen it multiple times since. Her character was a successful playwright who hardly spent her days sipping Rose. The point is her style, home and clothes were simple and elegant. If you watch the movie you don’t see a lot of oversized fussy clothes. I’ve been drawing from this style for years. No tend just simple classics. It’s baffles me how classic is trendy.

You’re funny. So, I think we should consider the east coast and west coast grandma’s as totally different species. West coastal grandmas def don’t dress like this. Like, Linen dresses…more free people and less nautical, I guess. St. John’s Bay is totally out for west coast grandmas. 😜 Grandmas here def not wearing jeans either. More like linen pants.
