It's 2023 and the Choir like Chorus is still giving me vibes and soothes as always. Threshold is really a good Prog Band. Damien is gifted and blessed with a tasty voice.

I recently started listening to Threshold, and this song along with Ashes really give me chills with their choruses!

They have always been one of the few prog metal bands that paid a great deal of detail to the lyrics as well as the music.

The solo at 4:00 is one of my favourites ever. God that guitar tone is orgasm inducing for me. It's like the guitar is melting along with my ears. It sounds so clear and well produced. I love it.

I think he used 5150's but you can get close if you use an EQ in your effects loop. Listen to Evergrey for an almost exact tone from some of their older albums. Or go way back to Ronnie Lee Tekro from TNT for a similar boosted mid lead tone.

Goose bumps!

My favourite album of all time. Everything came together on this masterpiece (Damien returning, first album in 5 years, Pete joining the band and writing 2 of the strongest songs). This album has more goose bump inducing moments than any album I've ever heard. A perfect 10 out of 10!

I really like Damien Wilsons voice, so unique, instantly recognisable.

it's like a modern day Rush. Threshold rocks!!!

7:27 - best break ever!!! what a killer-refrain this song shows why Groom&West is the most brilliant guitar-keys duo in today's prog rock best synergy since Petrucci&Moore (listen to the verse!).

Threshold are one of the few bands I know of that combine a good sound with complex songwriting and meaningful, well written lyrics. It looks like they're not letting us down with this one either.

Had the pleasure of listening to this band at the Fairport convention at Cropredrey in Oxfordshire, they were F ing Brilliant, from Billy of the McBarstard Clan !

Yup, the best band there ever has been...

Cant wait to get this album. So far Dead Reckoning and Subsurface are my favs. So many good prog albums have come out this year.

This album quickly grew on me and has received a weekly listen for years. I don't know the reasoning behind Damien's exit again when things were coming together so perfectly. They have managed to maintain their excellence even as the members changed.

Great song. The singer doesn't quite have the dynamic energy in his voice that Mac did but he's good in his own right. Listening to this new guys voice, at times it's actually reminiscent of the dude from Tears For Fears. Which isn't a bad thing.

"New guy"? I hope you know this is the guy from Wounded Land and Extinct Instinct ;) And in all honesty, I think Damian is one of the greatest vocalists around in popular music today. I like Mac a lot, but think this guy is on a whole other level. And a great guy too: every time I see him he comes by for a little chat. If you ever have the chance to see Threshold with him in a small concert hall, or one of his other projects (Maiden United, his solo project, or whatever other project he's in), go to see him. It's a lot of fun.

Yeah I get this is a 'previous member'. Doesn't change my enjoyment of Mac over him. I don't dislike it, I just preferred Mac. Unfortunately for me it doesn't matter, since he's passed on. Have to deal with it.
