that's amazing! if it were today, i would probably bet on the youngsters' team, especially because dubov and nepo are in a much better shape. anyway, karpov is still the greatest among these players, followed by anand. probably some 20 years from now we will watch this same game and just think abouth how lucky we are to watch such legends enjoy this relaxed moment

Are u sure Karpov was better than Anand? Don't count on the World Championship, as that was a dirty game played by Soviets. Karpov was given a day of full rest and direct entry, whereas Anand had to travel all the way by CAR and couldn't get any rest, also after playing all matches. I'll leave some quotes to defend myself. "It was almost as if I had been asked to run a 100-metre sprint after completing a cross-country marathon... Karpov waited for the corpse of his challenger to be delivered in a coffin. If anybody else other than Karpov wins, it's a world championship. Otherwise, it's not." "In the 1998 FIDE cycle, FIDE granted Karpov, the reigning champion, direct seeding into the final against the winner of the seven-round single-elimination Candidates tournament. The psychological and physical advantage Karpov gained from this decision caused significant controversy, leading to Kramnik's withdrawal from the tournament. Anand won the tournament, defeating Adams in the final, and immediately faced Karpov for the championship. Despite this disadvantage for Anand, which he described as being "brought in a coffin" to play Karpov, the regular match ended 3-3, which led to a rapid playoff, which Karpov won 2-0. All world championships should take place like this. All the players of one team against all the players of another team playing on one board. Save time and effort.

Kasparov after preparing 20 moves of preparation begins with e4. Magnus taking nothing seriously plays Ke2, Fischer storms out of the room and calls magnus a disgrace to the world of chess

8:53 Rook to f6, not the king! It's max I can to in chess - find such a small and unimportant mistakes ;)

In the position at 8:42 black to move. Why not take the pawn on d5 with check? Then the white king has to move back to the 4th rank, and black can also take the pawn on b5, eliminating white's passed pawn and creating one of his own. Am I missing something? The king's move to g5 seems like a terrible blunder.

At 7:22 what if black continues with Rh1+ and try for 3 fold repetition?

Erick Tapia he didn't play grand prix. He didn't reach final in wc. He isnt the previous challenger. He isnt in top 2 to qualify via ratings and lastly the wildcard was chosen to be vlad

After checking the real coverage of the game, it was realized, all white pieces placed on the 8th and 7th rank at the start of the game, instead of the 1st and 2nd ranks. Black's pieces were also arranged in the same order/disorder/anything, doesn't really matter. Was there any arbitrator nearby?
