I am totally unrespected. Feel like I'm walking on eggshells. Always being corrected even on how to properly put something in the trashcan! You are correct 100%.

"unintentionally" ? Are you kidding? The disrespectful behavior of most women is MOST CERTAINLY NOT " unintentionally done"....

That's very wise thinking. So many men suffer from their wife's disrespectful behaviour and yearning to be treated like you explained.

Disrespect destroys the treasure of marriage because it devalues the recipient.once you devalue someone you are no longer equal but unbalanced.

We all respect our spouses…we just need to be careful of when we become impulsive or angry…or overwhelmed…etc… of what we say or don’t say out of anger.

Every woman that is interested in marriage needs to watch this. It's disheartening to see your husband acting man outside but resigned at home

The most important thing for women in a relationship is love . For a man it’s respect.

This was immensely helpful to me. Growing up in a home that lacked these examples and instruction left me I’ll equipped. I’m sure it partly contributed to my marriage failing, and yet it’s such essential information for life. The women’s movement did not help in this regard. I was never a libber but the influence takes hold without proper guidance.

Thank you for this explanation. I know I have work to do ...its hard not to tell a man what to do...especially when you think it would benefit him.

This goes both ways... but i can see the way it affects men is more destructive to the marriage. I'm totally turned off by my wife. She wants affection and for me to be manly and sweep her off her feet. I thought I was just lazy but now I understand. My masculinity feels destroyed by her constant criticism. I've told her this many times that I feel overly criticised. It feels like it's none stop. I can't do anything right so now I don't bother. I don't take the initiative because it'll always be wrong. I WANT to feel the masculine urge to sweep her off her feet.i want to lead her.. but I can't do it. I just can't force it. I think it's gone too far now. I haven't even got enough initiative to end it. She can just live in misery with a shell of a men until she can't take it. Meanwhile I'll just keep working on myself and maybe one day someone will accept me how I am.

2 months of my wife treating me with disrespect and choosing partying over family has destroyed 18 years and our family unit. Her friends have done the same to their husbands. They egg each other on. Now acting as a victim with no accountability.

Thank you so much for this. Especially the examples, they are very helpful. I've read and heard about being respectful and try as I might, I still offend him...often. Today I saw for the first time (in 30 years) how my desire to "do for him" was seen as controlling, and then I get my feelings hurt. I never asked him what he wanted. He shared that's all he asks is for me to ask him, rather then take it on myself to decide for him. Thank you so much. May God bless you.

Thank you for this. I have a hard time understanding what respecting spouse means in this sense. I never considered that it's disrespectful to "correct" and "improve" him. Since we were dating, we've helped each other but we started young. And as we age I have to learn to let go more because he is super capable of doing what he needs to without needing me to remind him. I help him and he does need me as a wife but not as a mother. Love these topics and I'm learning so much 💕

I guess there's a difference when husband asks you for help with something or if you offer to help with something rather than telling him how it should be or that what he's doing could be this or that way.

The man is the driver, the woman is the passenger. But no matter how the man drives or what he drives, the woman will grab the wheel and crash the car. Doesn't matter what driving style he has. The man can drive the speed limit, have a full tank of gas, have a great car, drive in the safest possible way while obeying all laws, and she will take the wheel while screaming "I DON'T LIKE THE WAY YOU DRIVE!!" And destroy the vehicle. And then she will blame the man for all of it.

Good girl Although I will say respect is earned, not given. If your woman disrespects you it's your duty as a man to make her respect you. If she still won't, tell her to pound sand

the Bible teaches that the husband is supposed to submit to his wife and obey her just as much as the woman should her husband. every teaching should be balanced and talk about responsibilities on both sides, otherwise it is harmful and deceptive

I've seen many men do these things you mention....it goes both ways.....too much emphasis on the woman to change something or be the effect somehow. But when I really think about this I realize ALL the men who I NEVER once acted the ways you mention is becus of him. The man leads, not the woman. Women respond largely to a man. Too many are always trying to change women how they act. He's the leader, let him lead and teach him how to treat women properly instead of blaming women all the time becus that's what is really going on

It's not just about women respecting men. Men must love women. But when you respect your husband, he will love you. And when he loves you, you will respect him. In marriage we are servants. We are serving each other. If both have selflessness in mind, to serve each other always as Christ did, that selfish attitude will start to diminish more and there will be more peace in Christ.

You refuse to accept your responsibility in relationships and that's why you don't get it your blaming others this will insure that you will never have the relationship you truly desire. Trust me I had to learn how to be the man my wife needed it's hard to swallow that pride but not doing it will destroy you. Humbling oneself actually inspires personal growth

Wives if ur husband is asking u to invest $300,000 on a wrong property. Yell n scream n correct him. Plz a man ego should not be on high pedestal. If man is making bigger mistakes speak up. I have seen many men's making stupid business decisions if u have expertise in business . Plz speak up nicely...if he does not listen yell at him to shake him that he is doing a blunder
