That turtle is full grown.

@@david1032 they trim it by eating things like bone. They wear it down naturally but in captivity those opportunities don’t always exist so their beaks need to be trimmed.

Why does it look like a tortoise? Why is it called a turtle if it lives on land

It’s a terrapin, the box turtles are terrapins and can swim, though they’re more on land

Tortoises are almost exclusively herbivores, while turtles are true omnivores, regularly consuming both plants and animals. Tortoises have elephantine (column-like) hind legs, while turtles have webbing. Also, tortoises have an average lifespan of 80 to 150 years, while turtles have an average lifespan of 20 to 40 years.
