Three Sisters Companion Planting! Part 8

Last year my family tried the Three Sisters companion planting technique for the first time! Passed down by the Native Americans, this technique is a great way to grow three crops together.
I wasn't posting much on KZread back when we did this so over the next few days I'll post the videos of our experience last year!
Would you want to give it a try?

Did you reach harvest stage with this method? I planted my corn just the other day with some sunflowers in the middle. After seeing this short, I think I can add more sweetcorn.

Suggestion: taller corn stalks benefit the beans but also benefit the corn aswell. If the corn is too short then the beans could also do some harm to the corn. So I suggest you grow tall varieties of corn around 6-11 ft.

Have you tried using sunflowers as well to add to the corn layer? It's the only plant I've found able to withstand the 100° temps that are becoming more common. I was able to grow strawberries and spinach until August.

    Do the sunflowers provide shade?

@@juliemendoza7258 Yes its the primary purpose of them. Nearly all day shade but for plants that require 70-80 temps its perfect.

I’ve tried the 3 sisters. I did not like the result. Very messy to get around in the garden.
