Hello Skaters! Today I have three simple stretches to help you release tension and gain flexibility in your hips. We need nice open hips when we skate, it will really help you control your edges and turns.

    Even though I always stretch a lot before and after skating, running or any workout -- I feel that my stretching routine lacks a lot of important areas, and I am never stretching enough - especially hamstrings, calves, ankles, stomach, shoulders, arms... This helped a lot and I think it's a great place to start in the morning before doing warm-up stretches. I have to say that I really enjoyed the soundtrack to this video and found it to be the perfect volume! :)

    This is so helpful! I’m 21 and I’m just starting skating so I’m a little late to the game, but all of your videos have been so informative. I especially love how detailed the instructions are in your skating videos. Super helpful for those of us who don’t know what we’re doing. Gotta subscribe to keep up with this good content!

    Perfect timing. I just thought that I'd like to start practicing the spread eagle, but I am not flexible enough yet to do a spread eagle off ice. Thank you! Edit: Also, you really helped me with my forward crossovers with your videos and now I can do them. Thanks :)

    @@CoachJulia I did! But I don't trust myself yet to be able to do them without support. I will start practicing them at the wall first. :D Keep up the great work. It's crazy how I am in Germany and you've helped me with my skating all the way from the US, haha

    Should i do hip flexbilty before learning my splits and how many times a week please to practice i do warm up for 15 mimutes ❤❤❤

    I'm great at the butterfly, my feet can go all the way up to my hips with knees touching the ground, but I still really struggle on other things that require "open hips" like pointing both my feet completely out for the spread eagle. It's so tough!

    Thank you for the video. Really helps a lot. A small suggestion; lower the volume of the backround music a bit. I perceived it as too loud. Otherwise great video💃
