    Dan Lok This was a GREAT EYE OPENING VIDEO. I have many friends who have had a similar brain fart. They have failed because they were technicians, who rebelled against their owners thoughts, thinking they could do better. I have ordered the book and his others as well. I was thinking of teaming up with a friend who has a landscaping business. He lacks growth and the ability to increase pricing and lock in contracts and service options prior to seasonal changes, thereby missing making money at the various seasonal cycles. Since joining the HTC COURSE, I have put that idea on hold. Thanks Nick Mirante NY

    When someone says oh you run a business! I say no not yet, the business runs me. I never wanted to have a business, never had the mentality...I was made an entrepreneur by the very clients I had relationships with for years. Now I have been put in a position to influence my mentality to prosper in a business atmosphere.

    This has made me realize that the faster I can build my team, the faster I can focus on not being a technician. This gave me a deeper understanding and knowledge of what it is that I need to do, in order to expand: hire quality people, and the three differing types of people you listed. Dan I have been finding your content EXTREMELY valuable. Your message and delivery have been impeccable and I am kust eating up your videos and F.U. money.

    Hola Dan, gracias!!! I am an entrepreneur who grew up to believe this cultural saying-quote, "Al ojo del amo engorda el caballo". "The horse fattens on his master's eye," I am very successful even though I have worn "the three hats". And am on my route to freedom. I want to learn to delegate efficiently, and your videos are just amazing! Nevertheless my biggest fear in doing so, is that I think-believe no one can do my job better since it is my business. I know I am wrong, that is why I am following you and this comunity if great entrepreneurs. Thank you.

    Hi Dan. Yes I have been following your videos for quite some days and I find each and everyone very stimulating my creativity of thinking larger. My story is that I have landed in a situation for some years where my panic attacs limited me to go out my house to maximum 15 min. by bycicle. And since a few months now I have finally found the help that was needed to overcome them as good as possible. So now that I'm getting mentally stronger, the sparkle of the entrepreneur spirit inside of me starts to raise in flame and that is thanks to you. I had a clothing shop many years before but it lasted only one year. You reminded me of that because I too have turned the key before it was too late. So I got out the business without any losts (very fortunately). Now what I have in mind is to inspire the flame in people's hart that can create a specific brand and launch a product, based on that brand, globaly. I still have some research to do, which I will, and get in to it (as you say hihi). Thanks for all your help. There should more people like you. You are really an inspiring on your own. Aïcha

    Hi Dan, so far this series has been on point with my reality. I am in deed a technician with an entrepreneur seizure. It hits me hard because I know how to do the work but knew nothing about running a business. I just closed my business for the year but one of my biggest take aways was that I really sucked at sales and marketing. I am in your HTC program and I am planning on using whatever I learn from that course, I know I can apply it when I open for business again next year. Reading you F.U money book has really changed my perspective on my lifestyle.

  • @hankezhou2032
    @hankezhou20326 жыл бұрын

    Thank you for this video. I think something that's really hard for a lot of technicians who have an 'entrepreneurial seizure' is, as you've pointed out, to admit that their skillset has nothing to do with running a successful business. Especially if they're really great at what they do. But it's the truth.

    I agree with this video because am 16 am trying to start my bussiness I hope one day I can be worthy 30 million by helping me my family and being able to do what ever I want . I understand your idea you have to have everything systemized so there's one technician on one thing so they don't have to jump on all different things and everyone's focused on one job

    The question I had after reading the e-myth revisited, is: "but how does one who has a high income skill then hire someone to replace himself as the technician, without first developing skills that are at least double one's current high income skill (without destroying margins and/or requiring significant capital to bootstrap?). I think this is the dilemma that most "S" (self employed) business owners run into. If you get off the treadmill to repair it, you need to first stop the machine. The only hint that I received in the book was to develop systems instead of relying upon people. So let McDonalds be run by teenagers with very strict guidelines instead of counting on hiring the smartest managers. And this works great for things that are easily automated (flipping burgers) but hard for things that are not easily systematized (for instance, software development, marketing, etc.). Not to say it can't be done, but it's definitely harder.
