Vc is definitely the most underrated among the ‘trinity’. I just got my Overseas Rose gold blue dial. It’s a amazing piece!

That Vacheron is pure class.

Fabulous 3 watches. He is right they are not rare pieces which are still in production and can be brought tomorrow, be it at higher retail prices, but not rare. However, they are desirable time pieces. That vacheron Constantin overseas is my favourite out of the 3. Beautiful.

interesting perspective on the definition of rare. my take, rare has a different meaning for you when you have access, or means to access. and unfortunately.. that's a space only a handful of people reside in. whilst I respect his perspective on market value, I doubt that he would turn down the opportunity to capitalise on market value, thats just good business. what you would pay for it =/= what you would sell it for.

The AP is just such a perfect watch!! The Patek feels too small but the only reason people appreciate it more is because of availability and price! Had it been readily available I don’t think I’d ever buy it

0:55 Hit the nail on the head, there's so much mischaracterization for a lot of the hype watches as "rare" - as Khaled mentioned, rare is limited editions or short production runs where you don't see hundreds or thousands of units available for sale when you do a casual search. Great video & I love that VC Dual time, looks beautiful

He’s right a watch can only fetch high price when it is a rarity. AP the ones that are sold for high price in grey market are the older models not recently produced.

The Vacheron Constantin are more "rare" just because they make far fewer watches than AP and PP... I mean 25000 total a year vs 60 and 80K respectively.. forget about Rolex with 800K-1M,

Why 15202 fragile compare to 15500? The watch over all or the movement? They are the same case just smaller right?

No real water resistance, no quick Date function, no screw down crown... just to name a few. Basically only the movement.

Love the Vacheron, its amazing. Also nice to hear someone give love to white dials, the Bling Bling society has made white dial watches looked down on

Was seriously choosing between the Aquanaut, a Royal Oak, and the Overseas as a luxury steel sports watch and I bought ... a blue dial Yachtmaster.

Very well said , I only want the 15202 because I don't have it, but definitely not rare, very fragile.... Given the premium, I would rather get the Piaget Polo Skeleton, super comfortable on the wrist, and slim at 6.5mm, and you can get it at or below retail for now.

i have a feeling u are on the waitlist for a vc as well

Pumping AP is like the Tulips of Netherlands in the history. Gray Market guys are trying so hard to cash in with this relentless pump. Eventually it will end someday.

There’s a difference between a watch that is rare and one that is exclusive. A watch is rare because of low production numbers (like he said, limited editions); a watch is exclusive because most people can’t get them at retail and have to pay prohibitively high market prices for the watch in order to get it. Rarity doesn’t determine market price. There are plenty of rare, low-production watches which not many people want and therefore cannot command a premium on the market.
