Daytonas are ugly... I love Rolex, but I'd never spend 20+ on a Rolex when you can get a Lange, FPJ, or Patek for the same price. People that do are DEFINITELY the douche types that don't know jack about watches. And I say this owning multiple Rolexes.

Chris of course but the price of Daytona is 11 k not 20 k euro ...for some it’s the Rolex collection thing which can’t be beat by money ...some people need to own a Patek otherwise they think they are not part of the high class society ... and some people just want a good quality German watch cuz they love the best of the best... same people get the s class ... of course they by the Lange

Chris Lmaoo maybe so but people who own Patek’s SUPER don’t know anything about watches. Look around at their owners. Rappers, footballers, and celebrities are the only ones who own these watches. The only reason they bought it was because of the price tag. That’s why Patek is famous to most people, for being the most ridiculously expensive watches on the planet.

I really enjoyed the JLC Polaris chronograph that I was handling a few weeks ago. Definitely a better value than this one but if you’re buying a Patek you probably don’t care about value very much

When a KZread channel has access to incredibly beautiful watches AND equipment and knowledge to capture that beauty you get THIS!!! AMAZING video as always, and personally never liked the AP ROO although I am a huge fan of the AP RO Jumbo. If it had to be a Chronograph I would definitely choose this over the AP, if not, the regular RO would beat the regular Nautilus in my collection

Yes but which one? Master compressor chronograph? Deep sea chronograph, master chronograph, master compressor diving chronograph, reverso squadra chronograph.. there are also some in ceramic and the huge master compressor extreme world chronograph. ;)

The 5167 was my fav patek but the 5968 jus took the cake and orange cake that it. Thank you very much for making a video on this.

PP5960- value & complications in a beautiful arrangement.

Personally i would much rather have a patek 5170P than the Aquanaut chrono. I think it is almost perfection. And i also think it looks like the Daytona’s big Boss. I had a Daytona in the 2000s and i have an aquanaut, but the 5170p just makes me shiver and shake with excitement. Absolut presence and balanced beauty.

I've worn a Rolex before. Later i bought myself a Seiko and i'm happy as before :) Happier? If i can control time by travelling through it, rather than looking at my watch once in awhile to see the time that has passed and how much time i have left.

The orange accents offset with the brownish dial are ghastly.

That's why I got a Daytona, it's like having the grail watch. Now looking at a Royal Oak actually. Also looking at the JLC master date models, even though the resale sucks, they are a horological statement for their movements and craftsmanship for the money.

The travel time is the best Aquanaut. I would not even consider this because there are so many better chronographs out there. I think this PP looks like an old Seiko 6139.

After a Daytona, this Chrono seems to be the right choice. But how to get one? It’s seems to be as difficult as getting a Daytona!

it would have been nice to get the hands aligned, specifically the small seconds hand ... most of the time it's offset. Pity.

The movement here isn't enough of an upgrade over the Rolex 4130. The logical upgrade is a manual-wind chronograph : PP 5070, 5071, Lange Dato, 1815. The movements are more interesting, the cases are better finished, the movements are well finished, etc. The 5968 isn't much of an upgrade from a Daytona. I would suggest a 5960 - same movement, with an annual module, and you can get that sporty look and I much prefer the case.

I really like this watch.....but will probably never wear rubber straps....and I don’t care for the styling of their metal bracelet. The ONLY high end sports watch I would buy is a Vacheron Constantin Overseas....Simple Date, Dual Time, or Chrono. I personally dislike the Nautilus and Royal Oak. Great review as always, thanks!

I own a Rolex Daytona 116520. After the Daytona my next chronograph was a Patek 5990/1A. I also own a Patek 5968A and a Patek 5980R. I rate Patek chronographs 5990/1A, 5968A and 5980R ahead of Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore which I rate ahead of a Rolex Daytona. If money no object I would obtain a Patek 5950/1A and a Patek 5372P

the patek is a marvel of refinement and the movement is far superior than the AP, but i still prefer the style of the offshore.

A VC Overseas. The lack of a running seconds hand is a dealbreaker for me and frankly, the Aquanaut is barely attractive in its original iteration, but this one is homely.

This is an amazing watch .... it’s new so people don’t appreciate it yet ... but one day they willl ... just like the Daytona

Excellent Video and very well explained... but this watch dethroning Royal Oak seems very unlikely.. this watch is too subtle and will create its own market share.. AP will reign in this segment any day any time..

This is the one, but again, it's a watch on long waiting list that at the moment, money can't buy :-(

the rubber strap looks way to cheap. it fits the offshore way better!

I don't undestand all the criticism. If you're looking for a Patek Philippe after a Daytona, but you want it more classic, go for Calatrava. A typical Patek Philippe collectioner does not upgrade from Daytona.

Can't move on from.the Daytona because the humps st Rolex won't sell me one and refuse to pay grey market prices 😁

That date wheel gap though is too much.

I'm sorry but the dial makes it look cheap.

Orange markers are to match the alternate Orange Band. It’s a great combo .. that will make the watch immediately identifiable to people who know watches .. and a mystery to those who don’t. Perfect Patek Philippe!

VC Overseas chronograph is a better option!

I'd skip a Daytona and get a lo-pro Blancpain 50 Fathoms Bathyscaphe Chronograph... then an Aquanaut (dual time), Lange 1, and AP Royal Oak.

As a Daytona owner, I don't feel the need to "move up". As far as a chronograph watch is concerned I think it's perfect. My next watch will likely still wear a crown and very likely be a ceramic submariner. I absolutely love your videos. Thank you for making them!

Master, you sound like you’ve moved up from a Ford Fiesta and arrived at a Mondeo. Their’s nothing classy about a Daytona. Owners of Patek and AP watches stay under the radar. I own a Vintage Patek Calatrava 1960. Looks new and still exhibits exceptional class and hasn’t dated. Do yourself a favour one day, and move up to the Rolls-Royce of watches, unless you can afford a fully handmade, Philippe Dufour watch.

Why not a Nautilus "Offhsore"? Both started from a Genta classic, a better story.

Perfect sports chronograph for middle age men, looks so much more refined than the chunky Royal Oak.

I really can't get into reviews like this when the watch is so wildly expensive.
