That honeycomb dial is beautiful. Something that might be interesting is a series showing watches that epitomize a decade, or a period, of the past. The 1970s, for example, had some crazy mechanical watch designs as well as some of the first quartz and digital watches.

@KillingTimeWithNorman That's what fascinates me with Timefactors. Some of its watches straddle that historical phase when mechanical transitioned to quartz in the early 80's. The last British Army MoD mechanical watch was the Smiths W10 PRS-29A. The first British Army Quartz was the Precista G10 (PRS-10), along with the CWC G10.

The honeycomb dial is cool! I've got a non-gilt Everest with no-rivet bracelet; a Commando with acrylic crystal, tropical dial and rivet bracelet; and a Silver Anniversary Everest with jubilee bracelet and aventurine dial (my favorite). All have the new, improved clasp. Great watches. Cheers!

I recently grabbed a smiths Everest expedition, cool little watch. Same case, bracelet, and movement as these but with a different dial and hands. Now i just need to source a jubilee bracelet for a little more variety...

Nice review, Norman! I love the waffle dial. I asked Eddie if he can adopt the pencil style hour hand over the Mercedes hour hand, which would bring it closer to the original Explorer 6350 waffle dial. But my suggestion was too late. The watch was already in production.

Yeah, the gilt variant is the darkest dial, and closest to that. But yeah. 🍸🍸

Despite the fact, that I am not a fan of yellow gold, I think I prefer the goldie over the other ones. It’s super elegant. 🕐🍺🍸
