While I absolutely love the idea of being in more control of my data and shifting from a data collection to a data sharing paradigm, I am afraid that this could enable a future where governments will then have a centralised repository of all of my information that they can "view" without my consent through passing legislations
I feel very fortunate to see these guys especially Tim Berners-Lee who is an inventor of W3C.
Love the idea of being able to see all my comments from KZread, Fb, Twitter etc all in one place, not to mention the rest of my internet data. This is really what Web 3.0 is about, and the creator himself is giving it an update. 🎉
This is actually an amazing idea. I didn't really get it at first but by the end of the video it makes clear sense.
Why not offering a web where people can pay - lets say about 10Euros a month, but having an internet without commercials and no more rotten AI written fake articles, but paying out fair shares of that money for the contributors of good investigative journalism, artists, who do brilliant stuff, and unbiased information exchange, search engines and platforms, which are not corrupted by greed for money? THAT was once the reason, why the internet was invented!
Absolutely the best video.

Many believe we're created in the image of our creator. What's changed is that we became involved in the process. We make distinctions that qualify the opinions of others to be clear with our Creator that because the beliefs that are held by many may not be strictly correct and the image that represents us is sacred, we ought to have the power to change it.

@@x77punk77x it matters if we care about the person who brought the internet to us, to confirm if he is ok. its not a critique, its a concern.

I've seen him in person and he seemed to definitely be either suffering an illness, or is just animated in an idiosyncratic fashion. He was going around introducing his pod concept.

I saw him few days ago in Berlin, sat really close to the stage and immediately after he started talking thought of Michael J Fox, who has Parkinson. Not saying TimBL has it, obviously, but there was obviously something not alright. 😢

this man is a legend, so sorry to see millions of webmasters not follow him. Why people love this kind of genioses only after they dies?
So lets say you had a health app that monitors your nutrition. The company knows, based on the people that were in the app, that relatively speaking you were lower in Vitamin X compared to other people. Now this company then knew, as soon as you took some extra Vitamin X, you'd change your behavior, you'd reduce your "make shift" alternatives, and you'd take on more ambitious ventures... let's say for example. Why not YOU, yourself knows about this? Why do they had to knew more than you do? So get together with friends, write some codes, and run it using data of each other... turned out your friends that had the upper tier memory let's say, had extra vitamin x intake compared to the rest of you. Voila
Why he moving crazy?
