Three Days of Syllamo features 3 consecutive days of trail races at the Blanchard Springs Recreation Area in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas. This state race consists of a 50K race on Friday and a 50 mile race on Saturday followed by a 20K on Sunday to close out the weekend for a total of 94 miles. Runners are invited to free camping for the entire weekend at the start/finish staging area. Race organizers provide meals after the races and camping at the races is definitely the way to go. It is a great weekend of trail racing and hanging out with running friends old and new around the campfire. The 2022 edition was my first experience at this event and while I didn't provide the usual play by play or regular race updates, I did capture quite a bit of the courses throughout the weekend. In between all of that I did a bit of hard trail running as well. If you enjoy camping and back to back trail races with your trail running family, put this one on your race calendar.
