i bought it for my 2010 jaguar xf . after driving it for w while. i have a muffler delete and resenator. i believe it takes more then just driving 125 miles which it says. after a while i unplugged heard even the sound different in the start . i had a muffler and resenator delete. and shifting gears it was a lot off quicker. so yea this shit actually kinda works🤷🏾‍♂️

Received my Thornton chip in the mailbox today. I'm not even going to open it. Pos is going straight back to where it came from! And maybe, someday I'll get my money back?! 🤣

I bought this same "chip" plug in and followed instructions to the letter. What I know for sure is that it waist valuable time you could be using to make the money you need to actually buy something that does work.

I put the stage 3 in my F-150 3.5 liter ecoboost. It worked great for my twin turbos right out of the box.

You people really buying this remote tune that cost less than $100??? Come on guys save your money and get a real tune from 034, IE, APR or Unitronic… or even BDT tuning they got stage 1+ tune that can bump your stock 250+hp up to 315hp and it only cost around $400-$470!

I have a Chevy cavalier with mods . The chip works . Overtime you feel the power increase. But if your car is stock then idk what to tell you .

It is a tuning chip . So I’m about to experiment. Getting bigger fuel pump and bigger injectors. Because basically the chip should tune the car to adjust to the upgrades . If this is not how it works ! Someone explain to me why please .

Does Absolutely NOTHING besides fouls spark plugs due to trying to change fuel mixture it decreases power after a month in the car. Go take the thing out of the OBD after a month , put a new set of plugs in and drive it and bam way more power. This chip ruins the mixture of your car. Allowing it to change will give you a burst of power because the car is running leaner however after a few weeks this will cause the car to run slower as it’s only making the elements run hotter. It will also make your air con run hotter and ruin your air compressor as it will run hotter as a result of the useless chip

In your opinion are all the race chips bad ? I have a 2020 1.5 Turbo Malibu I considered buying one for. I also have a MK3 Supra Base I was wondering if there was a performance chip out there for it. Also if you think it's bad for the engine ultimately would you suggest to maybe just upgrade to a K&N cold air intake

@@kellyfreeland7456 Yes i would do the K&N cold air intake. You'll see FAR better results then potentially ruining your engine with these "snake oil" chips. You also have to be VERY careful with turbo engines and tweaking them any further then they already are.

And dyno it to see statistics and number of increase power

Do a dyno before the installing to see how much you make, install it afterwards, then after 150miles of driving(cuz thats what they say) and dyno it again. For me personally, i can feel the accelerator is alot lighter after i connected it and the car picks up speed a lil faster than stock

Says you have to drive the car over 150 miles than your suppose to feel a difference. Gonna try it tomorrow for my Subaru

So guys I drove with it for a week, I felt no changes in performance I only have the install testimonial. I instead went with a guy in Kentucky he's on Facebook and if you want to add me or pm me on Facebook my Audi is on my page and I'll refer you to him. I don't recommend the Thornton chip personally I bought the stage 3 and honestly didn't like the difference, bc I didn't feel any. I sent it back as I realized no increase in power I just threw a code in my car. Terrance McFarland on Facebook and I know a guy for most Audi and vw that will tune for a small payment. I prefer his reflash of my ECU then Thornton any day I am sitting at 240 horsepower from 170 with the stage one I will be getting a dyno test 2 weeks from today 2/25/22

You'd be better off running a K&N cold air intake far safer. Plus, if you already have a turbo engine screwing around with it any more could cause major damage down the line. These "plug and play" chips are snake oil PERIOD...!!!

Thornton chips are garbage. Plastic box full of resistors (if they have anything in them at all, other than LEDs). Get a proper ECU reflash.

For the price it's worth it. The throttle response difference is actually shocking. Other chips are 100s of dollars but this one is only 90 out the door and that isn't a bad price to try out unless you're just ridiculously cheap imo lol.

Had that stage 1 in my sonoma. It was an absolute rocket! Upgraded to the stage 3 and now it feels sluggish and under powered. I don't get it

stage 3 tunes aren’t for basic vehicles stick to a stage 1, once you’ve added a new air intake a better exhaust system some new headers, then throw a stage 2 but stage 3 will harm your engine if it is placed on a regular car stage 3 times are for exotic highly modded cars

@@scottydoe365 stage 2 should work great! no offense by the “basic cars” line i just mean anything that isn’t on the drag track, but stage 3 is definitely a high tune and will do damage to your engine stage 2 will be the best working and won’t damage the motor like the stage 3

Do not buy a Thornton chip! I tested one out on my Acura RDX. Drove it around for 150 miles. It made no difference whatsoever during performance tests. It is nothing more than a blinking light.
