Keep in mind captain marvel was no where near full power either …. In the what if series, they said, if she was at full power, she would pretty much destroy the planet …. Hence she wanted to take Thor down without causing a planetary havoc

She’s not. She’s not more durable and neither is she physically stronger than him as well her abilities let her absorb energy while thor just tanks whatever he gets hit with so her fighting him means she will try to absorb his energy attacks instead of taking things head on like he does so if she somehow absorbs energy then gets somehow more powerful than she is normally then it’s not HER own power. Thor is stronger than captain marvel when she’s using her OWN power
