Nothing states they were light beams, they were likely plasma. It’s like saying Star Wars blasters fire light speed bolts while they clearly don’t. If they were you wouldn’t even see them Thor only seems to surround himself with lightnings but never actually transforms into pure energy, as he clearly travels way slower than actual lightning in this scene

The Destroyer has a whole phase during which it opens it face and charges up the beam before firing, so Thor just has to react to this Not even a Thor hater as he was my fav character in phase 1 and phase 3, but some of his fanboys are getting ridiculous by trying to upscale him desperatly

He also could have easily killed Thor off at the end when Jane Foster saved his ass. Thor is good but when he goes against enemies, he always needs help. Needed Surtur to defeat Hela also. He's good but clearly not the most powerful avenger out there

@@XwezzyO The only difference between Ragnarok Thor and IW Thor is Stormbreaker. He loses again to Hela same way. No matter how you downplay Gorr, he had Thor by the throat more than once. Odinson is just weak and needs help for major enemies. Does well against fodder though

​​@@antona.1327Ragnarok worked because it gave Thor much to do when you compare it to the first two But i Said "waitis' Thor worked once but it Will not again" and i was right i didn't read comics but they're much better than all four movies Allthough i did want More Hella vs Thor, Thor flying with no weapons Superman style, etc still the movie was very good and it prepared people for the darkness and story of infinity war but still could've been better This one Is the only thing i liked about phase 4 along with no way home everything else felt way off like the retconned power scaling, all powerfull Beings like eternity or the one above just Being cameos, no actual development of the bew Avengers literraly there's no new Avengers now and wait till the Marvels that's gonna be so bad Love and thunder Is decent as well as the others never saw them as the best solo saga for a character but it works even though it could've been better Btw do you think if the Russo brothers Directed both Ragnarok and This one would've been much better? of cource i would leave some comedy but fill it with More seriousness and action Man of Steel style would've been
