Couldn’t have casted Odin any better! Sir Anthony Hopkins killed the role! Even in only 3 Marvel movies his presence was appreciated.

Casting Sir Anthony Hopkins was a great choice but marvel did the dirty on Odin and the Asgardians. 1 . First they limited them to five thousands 2. They made Odin weak, so weak. In the comics he headbutted Galactus into unconsciousness. 3. In the comics it was stated that if Odin and Galactus fought they combined power would destroy the universe so they fought with telekinetic and telepathy. In the MCU it is more the weapons that have power.

Energy Manipulation: Where? only his staff was able to project energy not Odin himself. In the comics he can project blasts from his hands that can shatter a planet. 5. Teleportation: Where? Saw no display of teleportation. The only way he was able to teleport was using the bridge. 6/ Reality Warping: Saw no reality warping 7. Telepathy: Saw no Telepathy 8: Mystical Knowledge: In the comics Odin is immune to magic at least to Asgardian magic. The Enchantress once said that she couldn't use magic against Odin because he was immune to magic, yet in the film Loki stole his powers and trapped him in some kind of spell on Earth. 9: Yes, this one was kind of displayed in the movie since he was able to strip Thor of his powers.

Nobody brings intensity to a role like Anthony Hopkins does, his presence as the king of Asgard truly feels like a legendary king, like appearance, and feeling

Here only Odin and friga, Thor , Loki are gods most of them are mortals and normal people but their are all kinds of gods in court room so , moreover Odin is not really god because he can’t regain his eye, less durable gods can do what ever they can

There's a reason why most of this is clips from the first movie. Because that was when an actual good director who understood the source material made these movies. It's too bad we never got to see Kenneth Branagh's take on Ragnarok, Instead, we got Mr. ''I'll ruin your mythos'' making a Space Balls sequel while wearing a rotting skin of a Thor movie.

I just thought it odd how Asgardian soldiers fight and die using regular swords and shields and then the king comes and with a single swipe wipes out all the enemies. At some point you'd think the king would figure it's a better idea to upgrade their weapons?
