Yes, a lot of people didn't recognize this. You see both Thor and loki become fully realized gods by the end of their arcs both summoning the power of creation at will
There's a lot to like in this scene, but by far my favorite part is the wording of the spell. It's similar to the enchantment Odin placed on Mjolnir... but where Odin said "...if he be worthy", Thor says, "...is therefore worthy". Their worthiness is understood and acknowledged, by someone who's had a lot of doubts about his own.

This moment is what sets Thor apart from the other gods seen in the movie. Gor's god at the beginning couldn't care less about him, and wouldn't lift a finger to help him. The gods in their little city couldn't be bothered to get involved, or give a damn about the people who worship them. Thor comes in not only to rescue the most vulnerable in their time of need, but he gives of himself to them so that they may live, even if he himself does not.

@@jakeshaw1661 the issue is that it removes the stakes of what could potentially happen. Sure, the movie isn't going to let the kids die, but we should at least feel like the possibility is there. Why bother taking any villain seriously if they're beaten by a bunch of 8 year olds?
Manifestation of when we were kids playing with toys and imagining we have powers with it and fight. Wholesome moments😂

I see a lot of comments to the effect of how the kids suddenly know how to fight. My thinking is the same Jane did, and the same way that Steve - while he knew how to fight in general terms - immediately knew how to do Thor stuff when he picked up Mjolnir. The power of Thor isn't just "is strong" or "can call lightning" - it's confidence, courage, prowess, being *ready* for the battle to come. That's why the kids could fight.

I mean it makes sense, if Thor died trying to same them, they only had themselves. He might as well give them the option to fight.
At 0:55 when the children start getting worried and scared because of the shadow monsters and thor says "they're behind me aren't they", you can see that when thor turns around he is smiling because he was expecting the monsters to be right behind him as thats what the children were fearing. However when he sees that the monsters are nowhere behind him his smile disappears. You can tell he wanted them to be behind him so he could battle them straight away.
That is at one and the same time, absolutely bonkers, but also surprisingly poignantly accurate.
2:09 And everybody keeps talking like Loki did it first. Thor has been using Yggdrasil all along. And now he's using the Odin Force
The kids were definitely OP!💪🏾😂😂😂

It is by far far far, the worst Thor movie ever mad, MCU or otherwise. First they nerf Thor to the point he is a pathetic weakling for most of the movie, then they make him mentally retarded. and to make the whole mess even worse, Gorr is nerfed even worse. He doesn't have 0.1% of the power he had in the comics. For most of the movie Gorr just looks sad, and a bit insane. Not at all like a credible threat to the gods.
That was so fun and badass!
The movie might be utter crap..but this one scene that really moved me..by granting these kids the powers..his powers to fight back..Thor officially became "The All-Father" to these kids.. Axl should've addressed Thor as "All-Father" instead of just "For Asgard", when Thor asked Axl to get his army to Stormbreaker..would've made a bigger impact on Thor's character growth.

I wouldn't say no to a "You couldn't have thought of that when we were fighting Thanos?" line. Especially if Thor replies, "Well you think of different things when it's a group of kids and not fellow warriors."
Love the music

I mean for the kids scene?
I get the point that superheros stories are also for kids, not just for adults. But the reason they are mostly for adults is that if you are going to spend most of the time talking about fighting evil in life and death scenarios, the assumption is that you're old enough to find yourself on a battlefield and confronting death. In the spirit of this, this here is the most ridiculous proposition since ... the very existence of Shazam.

You didn't see the real character, Captain Marvel, who Billy Batson became when he called out "SHAZAM!". You saw that BS movie Hollyweird put together, that completely trashed the character. Captain Marvel came from the 1940s... with Captain Marvel being played by Tom Tyler and Billy Batson played by Frank Coughlin Jr, in a 12 adventure serial. "Shazam!" was the magic word Billy would call out, to transform into Captain Marvel. The closest and most quality MODERN adaptation of the character, was in the 1970s, in a made-for-kids TV series, put together by "Filmation", which was basically Norm Prescott and Lou Schiemer's little low budget production company, that would eventually put out original heroes like "Isis", "He-Man", and "She-Ra". In the series, season 1, Jackson Bostwick played Captain Marvel, with Billy Batson played by Michael Gray. Season's 2 and 3, John Davy picked up the mantle of Captain Marvel, as Filmation just flat out screwed Jackson Bostwick over after he was injured on set. If you were to talk to Jackson Bostwick today, you could get QUITE an amazing schooling on the character of Captain Marvel as he existed in the comics and in the 1941 serial. He actually knew some of the people involved in producing the comics, and learned a lot about the history of the character. Michael Gray is quite a wealth of knowledge as well. That crap Hollyweird most recently put out and titled "Shazam!" was the biggest JOKE I've ever laid eyes on. They couldn't have screwed it up worse if they tried. That was, in my personal opinion, done on purpose though. DC and Marvel Comics for years, have NOT liked the existence of "The Big Red Cheese". For DC Comics, they felt he was too much like Superman... for Marvel Comics... their own "Captain Marvel" character was vastly different and they wanted to have sole proprietary interest in the name "Captain Marvel". DC has the rights to the character now... so they green lighted the atrocity of a movie titled "Shazam!", to basically trash the character as a joke. That's what I personally think, anyway.

@@paulschewene7850 did he become somewhat more mature as Captain Marvel in the old versions? I know he was supposed to gain the Wisdom of Solomon, but in most incarnations I'm known the character, he pretty much still has the maturity of a 10 years old when he becomes the Captain.
I love Thor
