Thomson TRC-495
The Thomson TRC-495 is an HF radio that has been in use in several aircrafts in the past.
This unit belonged to Claude, a Silent Key. I am honored to give this radio a second life.
It covers from 3 to 18Mhz both LSB and USB. It has a power output of 100W.
This transceiver has six channels, and their frequencies could be selected with an specific diode selection. However, this unit has been modified to be used with a DDS (DDS6EA), so it can browse the bands easily with an VFO.
The channel switch has been modified so it can select the filter selection.
The clarifier pot doesn’t seem to be working and there is no power on USB in any band. Lob is working fine thought. I hope I can sort this out. If you know what’s going on please comment.
I tried to tidy up everything a little bit, but I wanted to keep the radio as original as possible. This radio definitely deserves it.

Merci beaucoup pour la visite. C'est un appareil magnifique. le problème avec l'USB était l'interrupteur du panneau frontal! Parfois, les solutions sont plus simples qu’il n’y paraît. 73 !!

Hi! I guess it is the same as other thomson gear with Schaltbau connectors like that one A ground B speaker C mic E mic ground F ptt To ptt just short F to A Hope it works…. Try a speaker before only with a A and B to see of the scheme is ok

In the PR4G system the conector is a CMA14 pin (a push-pull)

The problem is that the PR4G is made by Thales And I don’t find an « official » connections diragram anywhere ….but I will try your’s ! Thank you for your help bro !!

@@gaetand.a5228 oh yeah sorry it is 14 pin. I got the name wrong but pin out is the one I told you. I have a TRC9200 on its way to me and I just rewired it like so. Same connection and pinout as my TRC 3400
