speaking of noticing things, that was cool playing Downtown at the end. I love Edgar. I've been watching Soho even more than I did Pilgrim. What diversity.
It's so funny and kinda wholesome to imagine Thomasin and Anya being so starstruck by the Phelps twins, but it makes sense lol. Both are women around my age (early to mid 20s), of course, of COURSE they grew up on Harry Potter lol.

Love that he used both the twins and that it wasn't an actual mirror. Incredible!
Excellent original questions! You can tell Edgar is engaged!
Brilliant film maker and a brilliant interviewer. What a joy this is to watch.
Shit I love Ali's interviews. They're so good. Eddie's laugh was so genuine!!

You must know him very personally to call him Eddie
And this is why we love Ali Plumb: asking original questions and not the same press junket questions like others:☺
I want an Hour long version of this interview!! Edgar is such a master at what he does, he will be remembered in film history as one of the all time greats. Can't wait to see what he does in the next 20 years 👌🏼

There's a half hour long version of this on BBC Iplayer!
Keep this in mind, if you wanna meet Edgar in person don't miss out on 2001 screenings.. Your chances are multiplied that way
Its so cool that Edgar got the Phelps twins to cameo in this movie.
“You become more universal, the more specific you get.” - That’s how to make great movies!
Really appreciate how Edgar asks the interviewer about the films too. It’s a nice humble and conversational thing to do.
Edgar Wright is like Christopher Nolan for me, if his name is as director on a movie, I'm there 👍 Last Night In Soho great movie btw and as always brilliant soundtrack 👌

I saw Last Night In Soho, this movie isn't his best but it's definitely a worthy addition to his filmography. At least it was entertaining enough, his visual style like always is amazing and I can't wait to see what else he does next. Anya and Thomasin work marvelously together

Possible spoilers: I think that the twist was obvious and there were some pretty bad jump scares imo. Also didn't really agree with the sentiment that she was justified in killing the all the men when only a few were portrayed as evil when they probably only wanted to hump as we aren't shown otherwise but that was my hot take which might be wrong. I think the rest of the movie was strong, good acting, sound track and visuals. I'd probably put it above antman.

@@Bjork4s I love it! I think it’s really fantastic. The cinematography, music, twists, acting, just everything was spot on. Thomasin, Anya and Matt were awesome.

@@SoloBoredGamer I think the point is she wasn’t really justified, it’s just what you relate to, what you’ve experienced. They only wants to sleep with her, just use her, that’s what made them evil. They’re all evil because all they do is use girls who want to be someone so badly, they in a way take who they are and they become a ghost. Idk if any of that makes sense
The amount of detail in the shots and writing of Edgar is absolutely phenomenal. There is no other directors like him
I love the weasley twins add. Perfection. Man Edgar Wright is a pure man of film. You can’t meet someone more in love with film. Paying so much homage to the generations before. I hope that many directors to come do the same and copy off him. Legend

At that point they are the Phelps twins though, they finished on 2011 the movies
I'm always surprised bugsy Malone wasn't a fever dream I had as a teenager at 2 am.
You are genuinely one of my favorite interviews with one of my favorite directors, you get the questions that I’ve always wanted to ask them but never got a chance to so thank you! I managed to watch the first showing of soho one of my favorites of all time which is saying something but ironically I missed his q&a on Reddit because I was watching the film haha, Good day
That jump cut to accomodate the awkwardness of junkets at the end made Edgar's 'thanks man' sound so sarcastic in response to Ali. lol
I love the dynamic between the interviewer and edgar Wright I imagine that when you've been on a press tour the general questions can be killer so it must be nice to find someone who tries with the questions
That was such a great interview. The chemistry between the both of them was stellar. Ali Plumb really showed how to masterfully conduct a truly engaging and eye-opening Q&A!
Great questions from Ali. Made this a much more interesting interview. Most other interviews are quite mundane.
what an amazing filmography Edgar has. just watched LNIS last night and it was quite an experience!

Edgar Wright and Andrea Arnold are my favorites. So different in styles.
Without a doubt my favourite director of all time. I love to hear his insights to each and every film (his Blu Ray's are worth every buy, btw..) he's done and cannot wait to see Last Night At Soho. (Scott Pilgrim Vs the World is my favourite film of all time, btw..) Much respect, good sir. We'll see you at the cinema.
Holy shit he Terminator 2'd that shit with the twins there. I literally didn't notice them at all. I was too focused in the theatre on Elloise and Sandy. That's badass. I love Edgar Wright movies.
Ali Plumb seriously is the best in the game right now. Always has fantastic chemistry and charisma in his interviews.
How to spot a great interviewer: you get just as excited to see Ali Plumb as you are to see any of his guests
Only interviewer who interviews properly. Thank you for your work 😊
All of Edgar's movies are honestly bloody brilliant
Ali by far the best interviewer working today other than Simon Mayo
Baby driver was so sick, especially when hocus pocus is playing to the tune of the assault rifle bullets firing at the cops
Been waiting for this !
Been watching most of these films because of Frost and Pegg, had no idea Wright was behind them all. Must be like Wonderland inside his mind
This was so great !
Awesome chat with Edgar Wright!
Thanks for sharing the interview!
Great interview. I actually watched the entire thing.
I wish that Wright should direct Beverly Hills Cop 4 since someone I talked to don't like the current directors who're doing it. I would love to see him work with Eddie Murphy.
i love Edgar Wright, i've seen all his major movies. his writing is just as sharp as his directing
Great interview
That was à great interview :)
Ali is so good at this. I loved his first question.
Nice trailer, now give us the full interview😩❤️
It boggles mind how much this guy is amazing at his job!!!🤩 indeed best interviewer ever.
Edgar right is definitely my favorite director rn every movie of his is an event
I’d love to see him direct a movie adaptation of the Carrie musical with Keaton Whittaker in the title role. That would be such an incredible opportunity for them.
Big fan of the director & pretty much all the actors, mate. Looking forward to it.
This guy is such a good interviewer!!
i KNEW that Last Night in Soho had some inspiration from American Werewolf in London! both times i watched it i could sense some parallels as well as directorial decisions.
Edgar Wright made me want to write movies.
This interviewer is the best thing out of BBC
This movie is just brilliant, horror thriller with Edgar Wright’s style is just a perfect match that’s long overdue👌bravo👏
I’ve easily seen Scott Pilgrim 100 times. It’s probably the movie I’ve seen most, and that’s that it came out in 2010. I’m a huge movie rewatcher and have seen hundreds of movies more than 50 times. Lol
I love that Edgar Wright loves Bugsy Malone! Such an awesome movie!
Edgar Wright is a total genius and deserved more recognition in hollywood When you go back to spaced and the cornetto trilogy you can see how amazing he is as a director
I would love to see Edgar direct a James Bond movie! And then Ali interview the new Bond when the movie comes out.
I still need to see 2001 a space odyssey. I guess I’ll wait until a theatre replays it somewhere nearby.
Edgar Wright is my favorite because going big isn't number one priority. He just wants to make his own movies, making money or not.
Talking of background detail, are the cans of Irn Bru in the background of "Last Night In Soho" a nod to his Glaswegian co-writer. I feel certain they didn't get there by accident...

Airplane! 😂❤
i could have watched hours of this haha, best questions from ali as always
My most watched film is Ghostbusters. I've been told I wore out the tape as a kid.
Anyone calling for an Edgar Wright 2001 meet Airplane! action/space/comedy movie?!?!?! With Simon Pegg and Nick Frost....
I noticed that “Every Frames A Painting” reference lol
He is hands down one of the greatest film makers of our times and i am secretly glad not a lot of people think so😅🙈

Have I mentioned I love Ali’s interviews?
Fantastic interview, with a lot of interesting, fun and unexpected questions and a minimum of arse-kissing!
Much respect for Edgar Wright & his eclectic tastes! 🙂👍
Saw yesterday #LastNightInSoho (Spoiler Free) Was so intense build up was slow but ladies and gentleman when it gets going you won't look back, wish we had more horror @edgarwright but all the elements plus details falls into place all the cast even the late Diana Rigg performed so good but wow that unpredictable twist. 8/10
Makes me wish the twins had a bigger role, because having identical actors in a film like this allows you to accomplish so much you couldn't do otherwise!
Edgar Wright is my hollywood doppleganger, but I've never seen him in an interview. So glad he doesn't sound like me :P
Ali always the best interviewer ❤️
Great choices of films
Hot Fuzz is mine, Edgar, so thanks. I also have the 2001 4K remaster and it's glorious.
This is Spinal Tap is a masterpiece
The World's End is one crazy film. Its the kind of story that you would come up with when your drunk, but it's so hilarious and engaging at the same time
Ok, that "mirror" scene in Last night in soho is on a different level, holy crap!

Getting identical twins for it made it 100% Better even if they didn’t actually use a mirror
Edgar Wright has to direct a movie about Jack The Ripper.
Edgar's Funeral: Live and Let Pie
For me this movie 🎥 is the best of this years 🙂 a lot of favourite song i love last night in soho so much
Underrated trope: Amazing OST
I didn't look to carefully and thought this was a Jeremy Jahns review, by the thumbnail
Good interviewer
All those people who didn't go to see Last Night in Soho were wrong. I hope the flick becomes culty and does really well in its post-theatrical life.
Ye
The irony that my most watched film ever is Shaun of the dead
I didn’t think anybody remembered Bugsy Malone. It’s one of my favorite movies when I was a kid
I like how Edgar is asking Ali to explain things to him! (mickey mousing) Well I have given up hope that there will be a sequel to Baby Driver...
when i watched the movie, i never picked up that it were Weasley twins. Their movements were actually a bit off so it had to be real people.
I hope Edgar Wright directs an episode of doctor who
That list says everything why he is so Cool.
I absolutely knew where the twins scenes were but i was fucking surprised that It was James and Oliver. I'm ashamed to be a Potter fan.
i don’t know if this sounds wrong but edgar wright is my favorite british person
BBC needs to give Ali a raise
Underrated fella. Time to rewatch Scott Pilgrim
You know you could upload a 2-hour interview, right? You know we'll watch it.
Airplane!! Amazing!
Shaun of the Dead has to be one my favourite comedy horror films
I need to know I NEED TO KNOW Ali will run for Prime Minister. I'd move to England.
I've got Edgar beat. I've seen one of my favourite films 55 times, which includes my challenge of watching it every week for a year
