Thomas Hanna’s Daily Cat Somatic Exercises
How to Do Somatic Movements:
1. Move slowly and comfortably - you are especially working with the part of your brain called the motor cortex. It needs time to process more efficient movement patterns.
2. Pay attention to the sensations from your movement - this will give your brain clearer feedback to learn to move more efficiently.
3. Stay within your comfort zone. If you have pain, move slower, make smaller movements, or even make the movement only in your imagination.
4. Follow medical directives you've been given for joint replacements, pacemakers, or any other conditions you have.

    My back ribs and upper ribs are extremely sore, the picture you showed was on the front not easy to turn over right ,now. Noww that i am on ny front , should i turn over get up or ? i did the best i calle nice. instruction, i did it without too much pain, i do Somatics. often with different teachers now, long sto, how Ii got here but, what is best to do when i get in this position. it has happened before, that, do you have any tips?

    Hi Lisa this should be a five minute process but I don’t have it memorized yet. Any chance you can do a video of just the 5 minute process? This is a great video but a bit long for my daily use. Thanks!
